Re: Tomi's friendly market journal
totally agreed. if you see such a tight range, and tis still day time! (I don't know why you're going to bed in the middle of the day.. haha) definitely worth taking. The worst feeling a trader gets is when you see a setup and don't take it.Tomi wrote:I was going through D1 charts to see if I could start a habit of checking daily charts before going to bed. After checking those I jumped back to M1 foxhole and there was so good looking range that couldn't resist. Taking this above M5 AIMS level though.
Result +2.1. It's pips all right and still give it a chance to go north if market so have decided.

Agreed.Tomi wrote:From the book Market Wizards: Interviews with Top Traders

"(Richard) Dennis believes that one of the worst mistakes a trader can make is to miss a major profit opportunity. According to his own estimate, 95 percent of his profits have come from only 5 percent of his trades. Missing only a few such profit opportunities could have a dramatic negative impact on performance. As a corollary, you need to guard against holding too rigid an opinion on a market, since such an opinion could easily lead to missing a major trend."
