Re: The Tales of Immy and The AIMSters - Trading CHAT

I made testing on weekend with 34 approach and for me it produced fantastic results. For strongly trending markets even more. Mainly because I didn't miss the trends so easily. With alligator/dots/AO combination I miss lot of trends because I search for S1's and there are so many thing that can filter out the trade. Also I must say that 34+AIMS boxes suited perfectly for my brains. So clean and simple. Just thoughts, I will continue still with the regular setup.

Tomi!

Just one thing , not to be taken as negative or to scar you off. When the market is not trending. 34 will give many rents. but the beauty of 34 is rents are very small. and it allows you to stay in the trend for long.

Staying in big trends means, during chop chop you either get stopped out often or have a lot of BE's. You have to be prepared for that and do not let your mind take you away from The Now.

I totally understand and recently the rents are not that bad issue. Well, of course those are if missing the trend(!). I was making testing also with choppy day and the results were better than my current approach. Currently I miss a lot of trends but still try to be in the start of the trends and in the same time get chopped out. I would say that when watching the charts, missing the trend gets much more worse feeling than few rents. Maybe analogy would be that when paying the bills you get used to it but when missing the paycheck you would get pi*sed off :p

I have 34 on another monitor and for example on 34 I would be short now on EJ but definitely not on regular setup.

Let's not rush though, looks very interesting at the moment!

Now that I thought more about why 34 looks so interesting....with it there's no chance of "analysis of paralysis", there's just point of putting a PO or not. Not much to analyse. Well, there are of course thing but with AIMS box/dot/gator/AO there are much more things to start filtering trades out. Just some thoughts....not experience that much.

And why I had time for these thoughts......because I missed the move... ;)

Oh yes, there is simply no thought process. Straight forward, Keep Entries close to 34. very close to 34, entry on break of fractal. or any of the price pattern as discussed before when price is trending , to add on. so 34 inside box, and box tight 2 things. or box tight and 34 just above/below box correct side of 34 is the game. My fav is cross of 34, retest, Enter. simple.

its like trading the gator alone, its like trading the ao alone. or its like trading Classic with all 3. its like trading the boxes alone. Less is more. and change is not always good but when change is based on 3 years of live experience translated into something... its powerful, is a different thing. when you understand the concept and it makes sense to you that ITS NOT A NEW SYSTEM, AS MANY WOULD CALL IT, its just squeezing all the information in to ONE LINE and still be inline with the rest of the information. It is Powerful.
