David's journal

Unread post by azadar »

Hi,

Edit: After 6 trades in the journal, i notice that my trading is overly agressive and that I should cut my loosers sooner.

I am writing this journal to keep me from taking stupid trades that dont follow the strategy. I would be too ashamed to post a trade that wouldnt fit the strategy ;)

I would also appreciate any feedback on my trades. Anything that can help me become a better trader is most welcome!

Strategy is the same as described in the ebook.

I put SL at 6 pips upon entering a trade.

Exit is a dot in opposite direction.

Here is my first trade (in this journal):

Bad entry on that one. Was not a proper setup and I paid the price.

Hi David,
Firstly, congratulation on starting your journal. It's great to look back through a few months from now and hopefully be able to see how you've grown and developed as a trader.
Just a question, why are you choosing to trade the Asian sessions? I know it's often a case of scheduling and fitting in trading around a job, but experience shows there is very rarely the volume of the London and New York sessions and catching decent moves can be tough. This is compounded by higher spreads during the off hours.
Best of luck.
Dave
Now, I choose to make a profit in trading.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the comment.

Yes I agree LO gives amazing movements but its tough to fit that in my schedule.

Im in GMT-4 timezone (new york time) so it would mean getting up at 3 am to trade LO. Ive tried it and its rough lol.

What im trying lately is get up at 6am and trade until 8:45am. This way i get a little bit of NYO and can still get to work on time for my day job.

I will see if I can get things working for me with tokyo open. If not i will avoid it and only trade in the morning.
