Dan's Journal

Unread post by DOINAN »

First day trading AIMS on demo account. Prior to this I was trading Bill Williams Wise Men reversals with live account with big losses. Traded 3 times at the start of Euro and followed the rules 3 out 3 times. :-bd Really love this AIMS system!

Hi Daniel - welcome to the forum! :)

Great to see that you have started well - there is no reason for that not to continue.

Just a tip - if you drag the finished trades from your history onto the chart then the executed trades will be appear on the chart. This may be useful if you want to ask a question about a trade that you took. :-bd

Cheers.

Hi Daniel,
Welcome to AIMS, I'm sure your success will continue :-bd

Darren, Thanks for that little tidbit I've used MT4 for about 3 years now and I never knew about that feature.

Traded Asian session 2 times but made a mistake by not adding spread and 1 pip to my stop loss. Since stop loss was so low at 3 pips I got stopped out almost immediately. Trade would have gone well if I didn't make that beginners mistake.

Traded Euro session got stopped out at 10 pips loss on first trade long and 1 pip loss on second. Second spiked up to 7 pips then retraced hard back and stopped me out. :-q

Traded US session setup short and stopped out with 15 pip loss. Overall range bound market. I should have exited on change in AO color instead of waiting on opposite dot. Seems since market was so range bound waiting for opposite dots were too late in taking profits. That would have given me 2 more profitable trades. :-s

WIN 3 PIPS

Session 1 Asian: Had a couple of set up alerts but price didn't trigger P.O.

Session 2 Euro: Took buy alert on Eur/Usd made 5 pips then exited on change in A.O. candle and 5 consecutive green bars. Made 5 more pips on setup 1. Took a 10 pip loss on buy alert after news on long candle and price moved against me.

Session 3 US: Made 3 pips on Setup 1 buy alert.

Mistake for today trading after the news when AIMS bar was too big and I didn't place my stop where I should have.

Note: Using Immy's morning pages emails. So far I love it :)
Note: Bookmarked affirmations and reading it before trading.

LOSS -20 PIPS

Asian: Traded Set Up 1 made 2 pips

Euro: Traded set up 1 loss 13 pips

US: Traded Set Up 1 loss 9 pips

Overall all followed rules 100%. I could have exited with a small profit (less than 1 pip) on a couple of losers but didn't think price would reverse so quickly. Been doing daily affirmations, morning pages.

Hi Daniel, if after you close your trade you drag it up onto your chart it'll plot the nice little open and close arrows. Makes it easy to see the entries and exits.
And great work on maintaining your journal!

WIN +10 PIPS :D

Asian Session: No Set Up Alerts

Euro Session: 1 Set Up 1 Alert 5 Pips. Perfect AO Cross, Small Aim Box

US Session: 1 Set Up 1 Alert 5 Pips Perfect AO Cross, Small Aim Box

Note: Set up to trade Fruit Strategy. H1 and D1 time frames. Euro had a fruit signal but AO didn't have enough divergence so didn't take it. Hopefully tomorrow there is a good set up.
