Fran's GAZETY

Unread post by francisrama »

Friends,

I read many journals, and found them really enlightening. I decided to start mine as of today July 24,
- hoping to be of help to others, as many here have been of great help to me
- to get feedbacks
- for me to improve

Big thank you to
Immy (too many things to detail, but thx thx thx so much!!!)
Steve (ewaves ..aahhh…now I feel like understanding Elliott Wave :-)) )
and (compound, amazing!!!!!)

Trade times CET (roughly)
- 7:00 - 10:00
- 13:00 - 16:00

I trade on M5, 2%, following scrupulously Immy's reco's (pdf ebook + Immy's journal)
I use Immy's and Steve's indicators + little extra ones (you can find them free here ---> http://www.forexoma.com/have-all-timefr ... tform-mt4/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )
I changed maxclosetozl and minclosetozl respectively to 0.06 and 0.02

S1 Gator asleep
AO close to ZL
DOT on the right side of PURPLE LINE (which I'll note as PL from now on)
---> - PO BUY STOP (0.5%) 1 pip + spread above top of BOX
- PO SELL STOP (0.5%) 1 pip below bottom of BOX
- ADD aggressively (1%, then 0.5%) when TREND is confirmed/established, and we "know" which WAVE we are in
- Move SL to new BOX top/bottom if and only if SL is below RED (BUY) / above RED (SELL)

---> SL BUY 1 pip below bottom of BOX or 15 pips (never bigger than 15 pips)
SL SELL 1 pip + spread above top of BOX or 15 pips (never bigger than 15 pips)
---> no limit specified:
EXIT when close beyond RED (before DIVERGENCE), or close beyond GREEN (after DIVERGENCE)

Check upper timeframe TRENDS and AO (D1, H1 and M15); this is to better take advantage of IMPULSION in the direction of upper timeframe IMPULSION

This is my morning trade on EJ Jul 24, 7:05 CET
eurjpy-m5.png
My comments:
- Rules are very clear, so no question at all when placing orders
- I've been VERY VERY tempted to EXIT on the first TOP of PRICE. Then I decided not to…Why = because if future proves that I was RIGHT exiting there (against my rules then) then I'll take the BED habit to break the rule whenever it pleases me…So I staid in the trade…
- LUCK was with me this time (news in favor or E, so in my direction). Sometimes it's good to have luck with us… But I need to be aware that all trades will not be so fruitful!!!
- 1st add seems the most promising. I'll try 0.5%, then 1.25%, then 0.25% to see...
- Trade took me beyond my trade time, but wow it was a lot of FUN!!! = You have GROUNDED reasons to expect something to happen + then this something happens…Just WOW!!!

Thx Darren,

my two preferred are EU and UJ
If both are very irregular -as was EU today- then I try between one of my pick up choices = at night I do a simple check with trends (you know the 2 indicators below my chart) and AO, then pick up what I think to be the best pairs for tomorrow's trade
Luckily today best choice was EJ...

...analyzed further my last trade and...AO's were not "aligned" = AO on M15, M30 and H1 all show DOWN direction. I should not have taken this trade...

My comments = even when rules are written, I need to read them ALL THE TIME, and specially before taking any decision...

July 25, 2013

could not find any good set up on my 2 pairs EU and EJ. Well there was one with EU but just before a RED news, so discarded it...

Will come back upon NY open...

My comments: Tough to wait, and nothing happens. Temptation is high to take "any trade" whatever happens...

Successfull traders trade the best because often remain on the sidelines. Trading or making winning trades is easy keeping the profits is what challenges us all. I am thoroughly enjoying your journal god bless.

Hi Immy,

your comments are much appreciated, tanks so so much!!!

Afternoon trade…s

Await big U news, then start looking at the market at 3:00pm
So many opportunities, but I can follow just 1 trade :-))) so choose UJ

Screen captures below!

Comments:
- AHAAAA it's not JUST luck!!!
- One big gain = I know (well I think I do…) when NOT to take a trade. At the beginning I was looking after the right set up, then rushed into posting my PO. Now I want all lights to be green/aligned, (not only the set up) and only if this proves to be true, then I post my PO
- Most enlightening was reading an Immy's post which clearly answers my BIGGEST MOST IMPORTANT question. Here is the post, which I suggest anybody should have read and re read until completely understood… --->
- Finally I got rid of all "my" useless indicators. Folks, the one provided by AIM are more than enough!!! Not convinced??? Ask yourself why you use this "extra" indicator. Then I'm sure you'll find out by yourself that this AIM indicator can do it for you…

- Also I realize that I did not know how to scan my 8 pairs to find potential good trade…NOW I KNOW, yes!!!: Find a good trending H1, stick to this one watching M5 and confirming with M15…D1 is an extra bonus = if it is in our favor, excellent, if not, just keep in mind that we are counter long term trend… To be honest Immy WROTE exactly that…It has another flavor when you experienced it :-))) The strange fact = it's VERY EASY, and clearly written…Yet I don't know why I over complicated it (even asked Immy if it was "that" simple"; he replies yes it is…And still overcomplicated it!!!) And at last it becomes completely obvious, and again again again VERY EASY…

Immy, don't be tired hearing my heart filled BIG BIG THANK YOU, and yes may God bless you, you and all yours !!

To finish up below is a trade I missed this morning on EJ…

Keep up the journal - loving it. :)

Thx very much Darren, your comments do touch me a lot!!! An to answer your question, yes...btw UJ was not stopped out during night so managed it this morning as below

July 26, 2013

Morning trade

UJ not stopped out, so managed it per the below chart -trade is STILL alive-

Did not take any other trade since it's pretty quiet IMO...

My comments:
- Luck once more with me since UJ not stopped out...
- Even if I have good reason/grounded reason to say "this is a retracement", it's very stressing to see price going the other way. Less stressing when you "run for free", but still...
- Need confirmation = if price does not move "quickly" then this is NOT an impulse
