Come on Dave...thx buddy anyway!!! ;)

Aug 29, afternoon trade
- waiting for USD red news
- then entered SHORT EU @1% upon a good retracement on M15 (could not make my mind on M5)
- no real big move
- exit @2.3% profit
- chart below

Comments
- I'm not sure this trade is 100% AIMS strategy compliant; I kind of just wait for a retracement, "sure" that the trend will continue down
- Frustrating to see how the market did not really react to this news -yoyo type of move, except on UChf I think...-
- i think I have to understand better fundamentals (e.g.growth, inflation, currency rate etc.) ---> can anyone please advise of a GOOD BOOK to initiate a dummy guy -that's me???- Handfull of thx!!!

Hi Fran, nice trading man!
For what it's worth my advice regarding fundamentals and news trading is to just keep doing exactly what you're doing. Who cares if we know about jobs data/manufacturing/employment/new car sales/the rainfall in Thailand/the fish population of the Nile etc etc, it doesn't matter, the price action shows us the way and AIMS shows us the price action. You have traded this particular news release very well because:
1) you've waited for a pullback or consolidation, so you have somewhere to put your SL;
2) you've predefined your risk;
3) your exit is 2 x your SL, so your overall win rate can be less than 50% and you're still profitable;
Remember when you wrote this...
"I think the key is = IT IS SIMPLE. You know it worked for me two weeks long. Than I found it "too simple", then I tried to tweak it, add indicators etc. NONONONO it is JUST THIS, SIMPLE. Don't try to look at hundreds stuffs, just 4 set ups ofr us = S1, S2, SEED and FRUIT"... just keep doing what you're doing!
All the best
Dave

Ps. I should have said this before, and this is as much a reminder for me as anything else, but we have to keep control of our expectations! Warren Buffet (maybe some of you have heard of him, he's this old bloke in the US who has done pretty well investing in stocks) averaged a return of approx. 21.5% 1965 - 2005, and we know where that took him. You just made 9.5% in a day from 3 trades. Do that 3 times per year and just break even for the rest of the time and you're returning a better rate than Buffet!!! And we all know that it's possible to achieve a consistent and regular return with AIMS.
I suppose I'm reminding myself to keep everything in perspective, and just do the same simple thing again and again.

Aug 30, no trade today

my pairs moved up/down, could not get proper entry...So I decided to just stay aside for this end of week

Comments
- 1month with AIMS now
- very very profitable! I mean 4 weeks in a row profitable. Some week much more profitable than others, but ALL weeks were very profitable. This last one was 10%+...
- still have to make lots of efforts NOT TO TRADE when I don't see a valid entry. One day without trading could be seen as a failure, but actually not traing is at least not losing stupidely your money...
- week 2 was the most difficult: Since week 1 was very profitable, and the system very easy, tried to tweak things, add this an that, try to be fancier etc. And of course this induced lots of confusion, yielding to frustration and a bit of (thx god small) losses. "Curiosity" is not always good :)
- week 3 was getting back into the right path. Very difficult 2 first days! Then kind avises, and clarity was back (I hope definitely...)
- and this last week was "smooth sailing", just do what I do best...even if I strive to understand "things" which do not need special attention -thx Dave for your comment on fundamentals...so right that whatever happens will be reflected in price action +nobody can predict what will be market (people) reaction to fundamentals...
- highly appreciate the kind friendly direct comments/suggestions/coachings from friends here; this is the best way to move forward quicker
- I've learned the English word "rambling"...I love mates' ramblings here :) :) :)
- I've updated the "what I do for my trading" here ---> http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewtop ... =22&t=1022" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Always grateful to all AIMS parents, I owe you so much folks!!!

Have a wonderful WE all, and see you next week for more fun (hug) (hug) (hug)

Thx for your kind words Immy and Kooky, always much appreciated!!!!

Sept 2, morning trade
- short EU on M5
- enter 2 x #0.5%
- stopped out with profit @1.7%
- chart below
eurusd-m5.png
Comments
- a new month, kind of rebirth :) ...grand children back to their parents, so pretty quiet -and miss them as well...-
- read back our AIMS ebook then look at few charts
- realize that M5 is very very similar to H1 or so, just going a bit quicker, thus minimizing wait time
- decide to go for M5 this, "to see"
- first experience = lot more fun than on H1 = quick actions, which unfold either in your favour (then take action) or not (then wait, but not for too long...)
- chase AU, EU, EJ, GU, UChf & UJ
