Trading other pairs when EURUSD is uncooperative

Unread post by TexasSandman »

The manual was clearly geared to trading the m1/m5 setup for eurusd. I've seen passing reference in other places (e.g., the promo site) concerning trading other pairs. There's something in the manual about using this setup with other pairs "with certain tweaks".

On mornings like the euro session today where eurusd isn't yielding setups, the trend is chop, and when there comes a setup the AO is unacceptable, is it acceptable to simply go to a related pair (e.g., eurjpy) where there is a clear trend on the 5 minute? If so, what sorts of "tweaks" would one need to make? Are the templates still directly applicable as-is with similar interpretation?

Thanks.

Hi

For beginners: Stick to EU
For experienced: Stick to One Pair.

If you have to look at other pairs, you don't need too many tweaks, just be aware of the different nature of the pair such as volatility, how it responds to what type of news etc. And for the yen pairs, if you use the orange bars, you'll need different settings.

cheers
