As a new member thought you might be interested in my first ‘test’ of The Seed on my demo account on Friday. Here’s how it went:

1. I already have a standard template I use to locate and display inside bars (seeds) on H1. The ‘seed locator’ indicator on the right is based on an indicator I found in forex factory – it updates every hour with new seed alerts. Here is a picture of the template (note Broker is GMT+2).

2. At NY open there were four alerts and I chose to trade EURJPY, EURGBP and USDJPY. In each case I placed 2 trades. The first trade was managed as an IB trade with R:R of 1:1 and the second trade had the same SL but no TP. The second trade was trailed as an AIMS trade on M15. I use a trailing stop EA to manage AIMS trades – the details are in my members introduction post.

3. The results were as follows:
• EURJPY: +30 and +12.5 (AIMS trailed on Alligator lips)
• EURGBP: +15 and +12.4 (AIMS trailed on 1 bar)
• USDJPY: -15 and -15 (Stopped out)

4. This is the EURGBP AIMS template showing the EG trade positions and all results.

The Seed strategy combines two low stress techniques – Inside Bar Trading and AIMS. Each day provides between (say) 50 and 100 seeds on H1 so you can afford to be very selective in choosing which pairs/seeds to trade. I have attached the forex factory indicator I have customised to identify new seeds.

Immy,

In your first post of this thread you mentioned, "Trend Direction: Gator and AO direction and/or Elliott Wave Count."

What do you mean by AO direction? Do you mean AO must be above Zero Line for long trades and below ZL for short trades?

Yes, but a combination of both is better. But to keep it simple we look at gators mouth open to up or down as trend direction, use eWave / ao rather for wave analysis and to time our entries, best place is near the cross over!

i hope this makes sense

The Perfect Seeds

Unread post by immy »

A lovely seed on UJ today, I hope Erik will not mind sharing the trade he took. I wish I caught it, but I caught other stuff so not too sad about it, but this one was awesome setup.

A GU Seed I could not take on H1, as it was against the trend. I chose to take it on M5. Closed part at +25 pips and left the rest to roll until end of the day. Came home at 5pm and closed it for 50pips, with slightly less than 1.5% profit.
Check the small picture within the picture that shows H1 Seed and how the wave looked like.
