sorry to interrupt: dzan, perhaps you can get the answer at : http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewtop ... BDC#p13220 ??

I think we AIMSters have to Keep Learning & Keep Learning to be a Master of dynamic AIMS, also need to be flexible, use the great tools & methods from AIMS to maneuver profitably in the ever changing market--- Like a fighter pilot who has a GREAT modern fighter plane & master it with a good dogfight method/strategy, but he, himself must has CONTROL over the situation to get greatest advantage from what he HAS/what he has LEARNED.

Happy Trading with AIMS! We CAN "DO IT"!

Hope you all had a great christmas day! I'm still in my pajamas and sipping coffee and tea every now and then and munching over the left overs... haha

Dzan... take it easy. I think firstly, whether a BDC or BUD are the same or not should be the least of your concerns for now. Have you identified Setup 1? and Setup 2? have you traded S1 and S2's successfully for at least 3 months on any time frame of your choice. Anyway, A BDC appears at the top of a wave, at its peak, away from gators when the gator mouth is wide open, and price has run away from it too far too fast, where as a Bud is a candle formation that is similar to BDC but appears immediately after a Seed. Buds are usually small candles, as in they dont have a great range between their high and low points as compared to BDC, BDC's are strong trend reversal signals. But you're right in saying that they do appear similar in structure at times, its just that the "situation" in which they appear is what decides what they are. WE won't be looking for BUDS counter trend, we would want to them to appear in line with trend and next to Seed, they basically further validates the seed entry and gives you more confidence in following the seed even if the seed high or low was sirst violated in the wrong direction. BDC is a singal in its own right. BDC appears in a different situation. A BDC shows the end of a wave where as a BUD shows the Seed is still valid. so from these point of view they are NOT the same but from the structure they may appear the same!

I hope it makes sense.

cheers

Happy New Year my friend!

I said somewhere I won't talk about 34sma ever again. so there you go! 8-}

Please focus on S1 S2 and if you like you can go for Seed and/or Fruit STrategy. Personally I trade Seeds on h1 on EU GU EJ/UJ Swissy and sometimes may even look at Ucad and Aussie for Seeds. Seeds is a perfect way of trading M5 setups but staying on M5. It reduces your risk to only20 pips with potential reward in access of 100 - 200 pips. Best strategy ever!

cheers

I wish you all once again, a happy new year. Last year was beautiful and this year started with a lovely blast on EU!

The Trend was short, confirmed on H1, looked for Seed but no seed, dropped to M5, found a smashing setup. (thanks for my wife's sharp eye for it) haha

Well she traded this setup. Will update result later.

Thanks Sam! Wish you too a happy new year! oh I know this one would be the best of the best years. The best year we ever had ...

here is how the above ended with a a nice 60 pips profit at the risk of 15 pips. Not bad for a day's profit trading only one pair! TBH we only need 4 pairs no matter what time frame upto h1. ON m1, we need only one. M5 may be 2. M15 m30 or h1. 4 is all you need. But we must choose 1 time frame and stick to it. Meaning one time frame as a time frame for trading. thats ultimate.

cheerios!

Wow! It was really nice trade!

Btw, you recommended to look for opportunity to trade within opening of sessions? your trade was on the peak of London.
You use email alert or how did you managed to catch this one?)
Who says we cannot predict, you can, thats not a problem, problem is how you react after you've predicted. (c) Immy

We trade normally m1 time frame on session open. But n5 is traded normally from london open to NY close. But also we look on h1 charts for seed and fruits.
