Ureka

Closed for about 75 pips after Australian news

Immy won't mind me recommending this sort of trading style to new joiners, of course they don't all end in glory but the system is fantastic if you give it chance. Dedication, consistency and discipline are the key components.

1% daily gain, compounded for 250 trading days, (approximately one year) would produce 1103% account growth[/center]

The first thing I looked at this am was the AU because I knew there were Unemployment figures due. You took advantage of it by staying persistent. The strategy surely works, the question is are we able to "stop being in our way" and let it make us rich? "I have found the enemy, it is us".

Immy, I think one of the stupid parts with the way the human mind wants to trade is to let losing trades keep running worse "because they will come back round " and yet not to let profits run, We see a few pips winning and dont have the confidence to leave them to work. Maybe we need to tell ourselves that the market often takes just as long to go one way as the other, if you get my drift
That one yesterday took about 8 or 9 hours and a lot of patience, also the hope that if it did go wrong there would be no slippage on the stop loss

This one might qualify as an 'add on' trade, it didn't tick all the boxes really except a nice jump out of a box......

Eurusd, H1

I entered during the 7 am candle GMT, and got out too soon. But a win is a profit and another brick laid.

Trying my luck on a long trade with Kiwi. H1, break of aims. To target 25 pips, using just below the red gator line as SL.

Let's see.

This kiwi trade is still running, slowly. After about 5 one hour bars it has now drawn a new Aims level (resistance) from which it has just broken northwards.

I'll tighten the SL and see whether

it goes where I would like, which happens to be TZ1 according to Ewaves, currently half way to there.

Initially my TP on that one got missed by about 1 pip. The price retreated exactly from the Fib extension line, and went back down for a long time. Then eventually it set a new higher TZ1 and I adjusted the TP to 2 pips below this and ureka.

Plus 31 pips

As of 07:45 I cannot see any setups developing in H1 on the usual pairs. I may drill down in a moment and see if there's anything showing on faster timeframes. Anyway it's worth the wait, and wrong to act impulsively.

PS. Looking at a possible long on Eurgbp but the pound wants to try 1.67 (no signal for me)

Depends on your timeframe. If on H4, it would have paid to go long and hold tight for about 2 weeks..................
