Re: Sam's Journal
Those who consistently stick to learning a skill eventually learn it and if they continue they may master it. You seem to be on the track. Its just this simple setup that we are after. But often we don't see the setup yet we trade. We do not allow ourself to learn, we don't have the patience to wait for "ourselves" to catch up with our expectations and give up too easily too soon. But if one really wanted to learn and be consistent, with patience they will get there. This was a good catch! well done Sam. once again ALL IMHOfxsam wrote:Post NFP trade. Perfect S1 setup after spike. I had to set TP to AIMS level left as it was late night so feeling sleepy and lost concentration. went 43 pips further down. Never mind next time.
Overall winning day for me.

Re: Sam's Journal
I think you would have done better to have waited about an hour until there was more liquidity in the market, say after 0700 GMT.
I did, and although I only made 4 or 5 pips on that pair and could have taken more it was a way of giving myself a little confidence after the weekend.

I wish more people would come on here to share something on their journals

1% daily gain, compounded for 250 trading days, (approximately one year) would produce 1103% account growth[/center]

PERFECT EXECUTIONfxsam wrote:I got fine trade this morning during asian session. I saw perfect SEED on H1 near pullback area. At the same time, spotted perfect S1 on AU m5. i placed PO and went away from desk few minutes later when checked i found spike already hit predefined TP set by my money management EA. I would have got more pips but still happy with the result.

Broke out nicely then retrace and stopped out slightly above aims level as i was trailing m5 aims. Just after that picture tells rest of the story. missed 60+ pips. SEED after pink dot would have been second possible entry but i wasn't sure. Next....

Re: Sam's Journal
I missed everything yesterday, Sam, and I agree that it's hard not to feel like we missed out when the market moved with such gusto. It was definitely a great opportunity for the once a month 10% day that really sets the ledger in our favour. Just remember though mate that these moves happen regularly, there's always another W3 for us, there's always another setup to get into, so there's no point in feeling left out.
There's no single trade that will make us, just like we have to make sure that there's no single trade that will break us. This is just one of thousands that goes towards being successful. NEXT!
