Thank you sam, and the Seed you pointed out to Grant earlier on m15 is working like a charm!

below i've cut and pasted a few things I said in the chatroom (so we don't lose them)

Immy: Erik, great trade on GU H1, well done matey. 11:51
Immy: its interesting how you can take advantage of strong or week currencies, when they are moving, trade em otherwise dont. 11:53
Immy: though, the m1 trader had 3 chances to make his 1-2% per trade. 11:54
Immy: I won't mind trading a setup on m1, top of the hr. but sitting all day, is not my thing, well not anymore haha 11:54
Immy: e.g. Sam said earlier to Grant, you have Seed on m15. (that meant, you can still trade it) it is an excellent way to trade. M15 seeds with open gator's give you huge advantage. low risk and high reward. 11:55
Immy: if you take s1 on m1, you'd be out when it pulls back and closes above green line, whereas if you traded Seed on m15, you'd close half at 1:1 and let the rest run and close only when the m15 candle closes above/below green line or hits your sl using anyother trailing mechanism. 11:56
moty Enters the Room. 11:57
Immy: Lets suppose we took Seed as suggested by SAM earlier this am, we'd have taken a trade with 12 pip SL and now sitting at a nice .5% banked SL at Entry Level and running profit of 48 pips i.e. 2% running profit with closed half.

GU broke out to downside, and we found good momentum in it, I did try EU once long with 2 pips profit and at the same time went short on GU with good 12pips for around 1% profit. Later I did not trade anymore of the GU drops. I got out of it what I wanted, so thank you. Finally I tried EU m1 S1, timed with break of m15 S1 setup timed with H1 AIMS level. But it did not really move. never mind -3 pips paid. You gotta pay to find out if its gonna go that way or not. sitting watching is not going to do you any good! (couch potatoes only criticize the great players who are out there doing the stuff) Lets be winners and play with winners, lets not be only spectators, lets play!

Hi

Her highness was active this am before LO. Though I'll have a quick "bite" off her...

Image

Nikita: Immy, are closing your position 1:1 or you are like Grant - working with a full size the whole move? 8:13
Immy: i saw that LO changed mode. so I wanted to get as many pips out of it as possible. when I want to let it run, specially when its a Seed trade, I close half at 1:1 often. 8:16
Immy: this was an impulsive trade, as the spreadbetting account I use is not for my m1 trading. its for Higher time frame. but as I was scanning I saw EJ. you'd have noticed that entry seems to be market order, and you wont be wrong there.

immy wrote:A piece from Chatroom!

Immy: Today was the day, which a fine example of what we discussed the other day. When you see a H1 nicely trending, but There is no chance for H1 S1/S2 entry because histogram is too big and gator's been open for long. you go to lower time frame. because two htings are confirmed. one the trend, 2 momentum. your mind will always say, "trend is ending, now its going to reverse" reject that "thought" and go with what you SEE"! 11:38

Immy: but at the end, a few mintues ago, M1 prevailed. 11:38

Immy: A very importat point to repeat. using the M5/M1 strategy, we spot our initial breakouts, "into wave3" on m5 and can even trade it on m5. when wave 3 confirmed, we trade wave 5, on m1 with open gator on m5. this is very important. those who understood this bit, are at least in the next stage.

below relevant pictures

Picture One. EU H1, this am, trend was confirmed, momentum was strong but no entry on h1, what to do?

Image

Picture two: EU M15, drop to m15 and find an S1 (The fresh Cross of ZL and Break of AIMS, sing away Erik)
Image

And where to exit, well you could plan TZ1a? what is it?
Image
]

Further to above, we saw another situation like that on GU H1 today.

excerpts from chatroom
Immy: when we see volatility spikes like we saw (on EU M1) just before I left, the red candle down those are the early warning signals of new orders entering the market and chaos being introduced. 11:19

Here is the picture of it: We were joking about it whether we wanted to be "trend makers" or "trend followers" at the time.
Image

Check out this pic of EU M1, just after our little joke, we saw this spike. This was the indication that market probably wants to go down. But we did not get a setup. But what we got was indication that new orders, traders have entered the market so we could wait for a setup in that direction. And it happened in due course.
2014-03-11_1138.png
After trend was confirmed, we got this little setup. (mind you H1 is showing Wave 4 correction so it would be right to expect only small waves as we are under the umbrella of wave 4 on h1 so M1 waves might be smaller)
2014-03-11_1143.png

Immy: So look out for such price movements. We at m1, realise price movement before anyone else and we should be good at it. 11:19
Immy: and once again, the m5 or m15 setup scenario in the direction of H1 occured today on GU but unfortunately it did not move when I was around, I lookout for such patterns in the market and highly recommened it.

Image

So we drop to M15 and see if the area we are interested in, that is the wave 3 of H1 is shown within 100 -140 candles.

That was a nice trade, I took it also. I have had a flu for few days and today started to trade and this was the trade that popped out. What was interesting about it was M5. The time when M1/S1 came the M5 was diverged already and there was already >30 pips move behind etc etc. Looked like a trade that doesn't live long (H1 looked better, but if we ignore that here). But a setup is a setup is a setup. There's no such thing as "filtering out" trades, my opinion. There are just two things: the time when you trade and setups. Just a thought about this particular trade.

Hopefully tomorrow I'm in shape and in normal trading routines. See ya in the chatroom :ar!

A fellow AIMSter asked a question or rather made a complaint, I was trying to explain to them what has happened. So I took a picture of this M1 Setup this am. There has only been one Setup on m1 this am so far and it was this. Image
