fxsam wrote:Perfect S1 setup on swissy m15. went into favor for few pips then stopped out due to news spike. UJ SEED spotted below gator and also close to ZL. H1 was showing down trend. I took UJ after AIMS break as SEED was near AIMS low. Both trade dodged me. went against and turned into rents. :-s :-s frustrating day. anyways next...
Two things worth pointing out and questioning. 1 whats the UJ h1 long on the 24th.? 2. isn't your PO too far from the seed. I ask because the whole point on the seed is to have very small Stop loss so that you can have 1. the opportunity to have as big lot size as possible and still have only 1% risk, while at the same time it allows you to turn a trade into a free trade very quickly allowing your mind to ease up and be more intelligent. If your spread is too much, you better do two things either of it 1. find a broke with lower spreads 2. do not trade seeds on m15 if your spread is big go for h1. spreads for seeds must be below 2pips around 1pip is fine.

cheers

Have you heard of the "Butterfly Effect"?, it is relatively easy to change "momentum" at the initial stages and almost impossible at later stages. You can change the course of the entire river if you can find the source of it and change a few rocks here and there.
fxsam wrote:Immy, i was waiting for AIMS breakout and due to that it didn't convert to FT.
The power of the seed is in keeping the SL distance as Small as possible. The smaller it is, relative to the normal range of the pair, the higher the chances of getting a free trade. the tendency to wait for AIMS Break is good but it might be in conflict with the strategy and probabalistic advantage of the Seed strategy.

I hope it makes sense.

fxsam wrote:Time to update my journal. Last couple of weeks has been quiet for me trading wise. H1/M15 pattern. Missed beautiful S1 on UJ H1 last Friday.
No entry on H1. Spotted perfect S1 on UJ m15 today.

Entry : S1 (Small aimsbox, AO close to ZL, fresh cross, gator sleeping) all boxes ticked.
Exit : near TZ1. (H1 AO was also start diverging)

I love this pattern. it's repetitive and consistent. .Hearty thanks to immy for pointing out this pattern. Thinking about only look for H1 SEED and H1/m15 pattern.

Nothing is more beautiful than this trade, this pattern. I thank you for posting it. ^:)^ (*) (hug)

A special post for you Sam.

The H1 M15 pattern that just saw on Kiwi. I thought I'll take some "snaps" like Dave does.

So here we go. We saw (or should have seen if Kiwi is one of your trading pair) A nice lovely trending market on Kiwi. It was perfect wave 3 on H1 but where do we enter? ofcourse we have a. Seed or we can drop to m15 or m5 and find a setup. but here I want to focus on H1/M15 setup which very very very similar to M5/M1 setup.

Picture 1. H1 at London Open.

Image

Picture 2. Drop to M15. Oh nice, a lovely m15 setup just as we expected.

Image

Picture 3. M15 triggers and nice lovely trade with 3 possible exit points to chose from.

Image

Picture 4. H1 complete picture. How lovely?

Image

THESE are by definition Higher Probability Setups. Becasue higher probability setups gives you higher edge over the market. because they are "Breakouts in the direction of higher time frame trends". Here H1 is the higher time frame and m15 is the lower time frame.

I hope you enjoyed it! cheers

Sam, if you stick to only this pattern, you could do some serious damage to your broker! (if they happen to be bucket brokers haha, which i'm sure they are not hhaa)

Imagine if you had done that on M15 GU? and stayed with it during news... you'd be 10% up haha not to mention the UJ M15 Setup that occured twice once during asian and once at FO.

nicely done Sam. ^:)^ We gotta learn from this guys! we gotta do this. this is THE SETUP.

ps: in fact one can formulate a strategy based entirely on this wave 5 setups only. e.g. Watch 8 majors, EU, GU, UJ, Uch, UCAD, AU, Nzd, and get a piece of Gold if you like haha ... and trade ONLY when this setup appears. The setup mainly is based on price action of the last sesssion or day. You'd see that during London or NY or both session there will be good price action, price breaking out of range on h1, and then there will be the dead period that brings price back to gator's mouth, on h1 it will be a pull back to green or red line but gator still remains open, there is no divergence on eWave and come next session, be it Asian or London session there is a break out. Exactly as the pictures above. it happens over and over and I've been seeing it for the past few years. there is no reason to believe it wont continue like this. "A touch of purple, magic " ENJOY

pss: and we can do the same on M5/m1 which we do (well i do) on a daily basis. cheers

And the there is this setup. The Double AIMS! The Double Jeopardy Setup. ... M5/M1. Here you have S1 within S1 with same entry levels. Meaning both m1 and m5 setup and share entry levels. Notice that in the m5 chart, its an M5 setup into wave 5.

Nicely spotted and traded. This is the second most important pattern we trade whereas you see a Wave 5 on 5X HTF and time an S1 on 5x lower TF using same AIMS Levels. IT was S1 within s1. Well done and well done to Peter as well who brought it to my attention and I traded it nicely. cheers
