Re: Nikita`s journal
Hi Nikita,
You are "thinking" too much outside the zone. Your thoughts on ideas such as missing opportunities and making 1% or 2% are not helping you to be in the zone. It is one of the fundamental concepts you have to under control before you even look at the market.
I hope this helps you to focus as that was my intent.
Cheers

Agree, Richard.
I cant say, that i m fully in the NOW. But i m 100% focused and now fighting with greed. That s why i m thinking so much about good exits.
Immy, Fran - thanks. It became more comfortable for analysis.
A few trades today.
I wish one day i will catch 30-40pips move by following my rules. But today wasnt this day :-s

Great trades Nikita. If you just take trades like those then you won't need the 30-40 pip trades! :-bd

Re: Nikita`s journal
These are good trades. You do not want 30-40 pip trades, that is not the correct focus. You want to want what the market wants, it is not a predefined number.
Be in the NOW and just trade the set up and exit correctly. Believe me if you are consistent and consider each trade as unique then the pips will look after themselves.
This is much easier than you know.
Cheers

Re: Nikita`s journal
"HTE" is Immy's magic way of spelling "the".
I think this may tell you something of the way you can over analyse things. We have a saying "You can't see the wood for the trees" which basically means you are looking too deep into things and not seeing the bigger picture.
Simplify, simplify, simplify, someone once said three times.
Ask yourself this question. Do you enjoy your trading or do you find it an anxious and frustrating activity ?
You may be as well to take a break from webinars/videos and chart/system analysis and just read some of the quality offerings in the Mind Section of this forum. It really is THAT important. You absolutely have to enjoy what you do.
Cheers.

Re: Nikita`s journal
Hi Nikita,
It is a painful lesson to learn and I can speak from experience. If you are not healthy and alert and focused you will make mistakes. If you consider trading to be a serious profession then you must respect it as such. It feels easy to switch on the screen as opposed to going to work but you will always make mistakes if tired or unwell.
You are much better in my opinion having a break and coming back refreshed.
I speak from experience, you MUST take time off from trading. It is addictive and tiring. 2 hour sessions of it can pass in next to no time.
I honestly believe that 2-3 hour sessions should be enough. More trading doesn't always mean more profit.
Get well soon and come back stronger !!
Cheers
