Re: Bambino's New Journal
Here is an EU trade from yesterday. Fairly straightforward, good set up. A fresh AIMS box had been created so was patient in allowing set up to happen. PO established for a short. Break of AIMS box in relation to M5 but angulation away from purple line is pronounced so in anticipation of pullback decision made to exit at break of green and/or opposing symbol. As it happened, black diamond and cross of green line gave unambiguous exit signal.
A happy, profitable, stress free 10 minutes

And a big thanks to those who broke me in gently to the Chat Room yesterday afternoon/evening. It made an enjoyable session a little more valuable. I appreciated the insight and hope to be in there a lot more in the future.

Re: Bambino's New Journal
A short session for me last night. It was late when I logged on but there was US news scheduled which helped open a trade. I feel it important to log that I was very tired and once the trade had moved in my favour I did not feel perceptive and focussed enough to manage it. I moved SL to BE and switched off the machine. The trade was only 3 pips in profit so in hindsight I should've banked that and gone to bed with a small profit. However I felt vindicated by the move as it was a free trade once at BE and with the move down on EU through the day it could have dropped.
This journal is as much for me about logging my experience and thought processes as much as recording set ups. Hopefully this personal record being in a public domain may prove useful, even if only for my catharsis.
Speculative ? Yes. Risk/Stress free ? Yes.
I will drop a screen shot of the entry and post it on here later.
Cheers

Re: Bambino's New Journal
As previously mentioned here is a set up from yesterday. Entry was fine but as I was tired I moved SL to BE and went to bed. SL was later taken out but under normal conditions exit would have enabled around 4 pips upon pullback with black diamond

Re: Bambino's New Journal
A short session last night. Despite a small BE it was little more than a watching brief. Markets were drifting by the time I got on line and decided not to engage in a long late night of candle watching. Useful commentary on the day provided by those in the chat room (they know who they are) whom I appreciate and respect for their consistency in attendance and input.
I find it interesting to come into the day late from this side of the planet and hear the commentary from those from elsewhere. I always try to remain in the now and each trade is unique and each situation unique and we must treat it so but some days you can glean a lot from people that are practicing the same methodology as yourself, that's why this forum (as specific as it is) is of great use.
Cheers

Re: Bambino's New Journal
As I am now trading at GMT+7 I am naturally adjusting to different market times and conditions. I'd mainly been a European open trader. I have stuck to the EU/GU/EJ and Dax as I have eased myself back in to AIMS but I'd be very interested to hear what other AIMsters have been using to good effect through the UK afternoon and into the US Session.
My trading window is now a regimented 2 hours to coincide with the first part of the US session (this is just what I have decided fits in the best to my life here) so increasing the scope of opportunities is important.
I will be trialling a few obvious pairs, indicies and commodities but wondered if anyone has been seeing good opportunities in this part of the day in recent months.
Thanks as always

Re: Bambino's New Journal
I had a late session last night again for around 2 hours which is my allotted time at present. The markets were fairly slow , a UK & US bank holidays not helping liquidity. I took the time to open up some fresh pairs and look. There was a flurry of activity in a half hour spell when things seem to settle and allis started to sleep and S1s started to appear across a few pairs.
Here is a trade I took on USD/CAD M1/M5. Red dot signalled a short away from sleeping alli for a Set Up 1. PO in a nd move down happened very quickly after. With 4 straight red candles followed by a tiny green then another red I trailled the stop down to behind. Peak of AO approaching and small doji appeared so l left the SL above 3rd longest candle on the downside. Taken out within the next two green candles.
A quick scalp but a typical trade for us. Profits within 15 minutes from Dot signal to exit. It is our bread and butter !

Re: Bambino's New Journal
Around the same time as the previous post there was a similar set up forming on the E/U. I have always been quite comfortable scanning many markets. I like to put POs in without hesitation. When you have a short window of opportunity it is essential to make the most of any opportunities that arise and quite often what is moving one market is moving another. That's why a simple screen is important to me. I can check setups at a glance and Elliot Wave quickly.
Here we had a blue dot signalling a long trade above a very tight AIMS box. This was inevitable in such an illiquid day. Candles are naturally shorter with the lack of stimulus. Clear trend from purple line and price following it nicely to the upside. Box break triggering candle shortly after.
A very steady move upwards. Not racing away causing too much angulation to begin with but following the green of the alli up perfectly.
Around about 20 minutes in AO peaks and price starts to stutter. SL moved to behind two long green candles at top of the trade. Black diamond and peak of AO give clear exit signal and green line is broken.
This is a textbook AIMS trade for me. If only every move was as positive as this. Very clear signals making it very easy to manage.
Cheers

Re: Bambino's New Journal
Following on from the other two previous posts, there was a third setup forming on AUD/USD. Again short candles had created a very small AIMS box but clear blue dot away from purple line. Tight box and AO clse to ZL. Within 5 minutes candle breaks upwards triggering the long trade. Price follows the green line upwards. despite a small retrace it bounces off the green and moves upwards again. As AO starts to peak I am looking for exit signals so bring SL up to behind the two tall green candles towards the top of the trade. Price goes sideways for about 5 candles but there are two dojis. No clear signal though but price is moving towards the green line. A third doji coinciding with black diamond on the green line as AO has already peaked and started to wane gives clear exit signal.
Again a straightforward move with clear signals and price and alligator moving up steadily together.
Cheers
