Dave,
Yes, one has to make sure one is available for the setup. It is therefore a great idea to follow a unique objective setup that forces you to get in whenever it appears. We are pattern recognisers and when the pattern is there we must do the necessary next steps ...
"One of our main goal is to habituate most of our trading behaviour"... BW
Our left brian hemisphere has two functions. 1. Habituate behaviour - A learning tool. 2. Solve problems. We can use it to repeat the processs over and over using "correct Setups ONLY" so that we train ourselves to take the correct setups so many times that the Core (brain) takes over this act and the conscious mind is free to do other stuff. The "problem" is with the second function. It is a problem solver and although its very good, once it solves a problem such as "unable to see the setup", "dont have a trading plan", "dont have a strategy", and "losing consistently", when these problems are solved, it is out of business and need a new job. (the lefty). So it creates problems so it solve it. (the constant changing of templates, the redesigning of indicators, the rewriting of rules, changing trade management everyday etc etc). Its something we as traders must learn. We must understand ourselves so we can manage us better.
"A general principle of human behaviour is that as soon as we start to become successful, we tend to stop doing the very things that made us successful in the first place".

The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.

Immy
Because I still do not feel confident enough to trade in such low time frame, I took those two trades with smaller lot size than usual. normally, 70 pips were brought 7% account growth.

Re: Moty`s Journal
The reason is not clear to me (maybe Immy be able to explain it), but almost every time there is a set-up, with three double arrows, we get a great trade.
