Re: Ray's amnesty page
Happy New Year to everyone....
Today was a good one on Dax. I faffed about a bit, made about 63 pips, 4 tries, 46 pips was the best one; but there would have been plenty more for the taking.... including saving a loss of 11.5 if I had waited for a setup to fully develop first! It started to move downwards nicely after about 1230 GMT. Im not sure when the brokers stop today, as tomorrow it's shut, so I'm done now.
I mainly trade m5 these days, but use m1 to get better openings, the simpler I can make it the better

Re: Ray's amnesty page
I was lucky this morning but still took only a fraction of the available gain on a Dax m5 short not long before 9am. Unsure whether to say it was a valid entry (break of aims, gator cross, zl cross etc) due to height of aims wave, and although I did get 29 pips I should have stayed in much longer. (I don't know why fruit signals should have popped up) Of my usual faults in trading, patience and failing to properly trail the winning sessions are identifiably major ones of mine. Anyway I am happy with my lucky start to 2015.
I hope you guys can stay true to the rules because of so many strategies which are out there, this one is dynamic, it understands the structure of the market, the way it breathes and its heart beat. I wonder who'll be the first to get 2015 pips in 2015

Ray I wish you another happy prosperous pipsarious year.... I wish you find your "true" template and true way of trading... I wish you continue success and something that makes you feel at home and peaceful... I wish for you that you finally find a place where you stay and stop the constant search for the all-in-one solution for the illusive problem that actually does not exist in the first place. So I wish for you and all of us all that ... Clarity and Peace... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Thanks Immy and the very same to you
You're always so enthusiastic and inspirational!
We all need keeping to the plan. If it's a setup it's a setup. If we trust the system, because it has worked for us in the past, we should obey the indicators, and we should also remember that it is still possible with this strategy to win pips even if we get more losing trades than winning trades ! ! !

Dax. D1. I saw 3 black crows today. Someone is liable to pull the trigger on this market and make it fall from here. But we'll see what the traders want to do on Monday

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Technical question:
Does anyone on the system use Dual Screens? (eg on a desktop). Any advice whether special video cards are needed etc would be useful. I've never seen such discussed but imagine there are some members who have quite a complex set up!
I happen to have noticed on ebay if you type in (today) traders PC it comes up with systems which can cope with up to 6 screens plus the usual claims of 'less slippage' etc...................

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Any good quality GPU (graphics card) for pc (ones that cost between £50-100) would give you multiple monitor support. Gaming ones are even better. but we don't need extreme high end GPU's, just the mid range are ok. Nvidia are great but AMD are good too (I use the later) Usualy it will give you a display port and DVI port support. I like display port ones. But I don't use multiple monitors for trading, I use it because I answer emails and chat while I trade. I have 3 monitors up and that's more than I need, I'm thinking of reducing to 2 monitors. " monitors is great for productivity. for those who want to use two screens on laptops , most laptops these days have an extra vga port/some even dvi or DP these days, that can be used to extend display I do this when I'm on my trips abroad... but really, trading on one laptop sitting somewhere comfortable beats everything.... the rest is up to you.. "the need to know more" the paradox will keep you on the wrong side of things forever... Less is More. .. indeed....wiseambitions wrote:Technical question:

Thanks Immy, It was really just for the reason you say, the ability to trade and to be doing other work simultaneously..........
I thought the topic worthy of discussion, I've never really seen anything written on the forum or on other discussion sites either...........
These modern CPUs preferably equivalent to dual core are quite man enough for trading, the delays are often due to inadequate RAM (4gb is recommendable) and internet connections (I'll get fibre optic one day into house).......
