Paul's Trading Journal

Unread post by Baluda »

Hello AIMSters,

My name is Paul but my screen name is Baluda.

While I found AIMS some time ago I only just upgraded to Premium and decided to go all-in. This means I made a promise to myself to trade AIMS for at least two hours a day. My goal is to establish if AIMS and I are a fit.

Over the years I have tried several other systems but never found one that fits my personal idea and style. As i like to be at the charts and see and keep a feel of the market maybe AIMS is for me.

I am a developer of MT4 indicators en EA's. As such I have coded some fairly popular ones at Steve Hopwood's forum. Besides that I have my own shop at MQL5.com which can be found here.

I hope you all show me the ropes and teach me well.

Paul

Trade 1, the logic behind was flawed. if you are checking wave 3 on m5, you'd be saying things like "wave 3 on m5 waiting for wave 5, looking for a long setup".

Trade 2. is the essence of aims trading, "Higher probability setups are breakout in the direction of higher time frame trends". That is what you've done. M5 clear wave 3, with a zig zag retrace what we call Principle C AIMS level was present too. And you took s1 breakout in the direction of the trend. well done.

Tuesday's trades.

Trades 1 & 2 with a good entry. Alle rules applied. Trailed SL much too tight, stopped out too soon on both trades.
Trade 3 not that good, market was too volatile for a clear entry, managed to get out with a small profit.
Trade 4, 1st fruit! Taken out for a small profit because of my tight SL.

Running stats: +72 pips, account +3.4%

woohooo here comes another successful new trader... now all you have to do is. Constantly keep updating your journal and use the age old formula of "Rinse and Repeat" be a brick layer, same thing over and over and over. Well done.

Hi Paul,
it's great to have you around. I can tell you from own experience, it's an incredible opportunity for us that Immy and the senior AIMSters give us so much support and are mentoring the novice traders.

Keep it on ;-)

Cheers

Today's trades.

Trade 1, bad trade multiple errors, keep in mind: see -> identify -> apply -> decide -> act.
Trades 2 & 3, good S1 with add-on but market turned.
Trade 4, good S1 but again SL too tight. Note to self: loosen up SL about 2 - 3 pips.

Running stats: +82 pips, account +4.0%

Today's trades.

Bad day, mostly because of a flat market. But also because I got in too many trades.

Today's stats: -10 pips

Running stats: +73 pips, account +2.7%

Away skiing next week. Be back after that.

Cheers,

Paul
