Does this start my journal?

Unread post by busker »

Motto: if you struggle, don't straggle!

Now, first thing I have to write down here is that I am a longtime beginner. Over 5 years I have been donating money to my betters, and that will have to stop. As I am still not very successful with my trading and with the Aims strategy, I have been looking around for some clever indicator to help me with my trading. Now, you might be interested to know that my wife has two dogs (They're mine by the way on rainy days), and I wanted to recruit them to help me with my trading. You might be thinking: What the heck is this, and will this nonsense lead to anything useful at all? But you again might be interested to learn what their make is. They are Daxhunds! Now, the older one is absolutely useless at trading. He is actually only interested in eating, sleeping, tummy rubs and walkies. Except for the last 2 points you easily can see that we have a lot in common. The younger one however shows considerable promise. She is very interested in the charts, and though she still has some difficulty with the AA fruits, she is eager to learn, and barks 3 times when she sees a fruit with a nice angulation. Sorry, the spell checker doesn't accept this word: It suggests strangulation, but that might be a subject for another entry some day if things don't go a lot better really soon. I'll let you know when me and my daxhund are ready to start a signal service. Our price will be very reasonable.

I don't know how to put it! But I'll say what you wrote reminded me of "Birdman" :)

My trading plan:

1. I only trade on demo for the coming month.
2. Start on Monday with my 20 trades.
3. Only trade Dax M1. Fruits and S1.
4. Start at 7, only open trades till 10 GMT.
5. Goal 1: Be profitable consistently by the end of March.
6. Trade 1% per trade.
7. Exit @ green, or opposite valid fruit or S1 mark.

To be conmtinued.

I'll have to solve some comp problems , and how to publish my charts on here, and try to get Easy Order to load and work. Line Trader led me in loads of trades i didn't want to be in.

Firstly well done, you took a good step. secondly may I suggest amendments.

Point 3. lets say trade Fruits only.
Point 5. Goal: Trade Consistently with Discipline (you will automatically become profitable) but keep your focus on consistency not proft.

Cheers

Hi Immy, thanks for your comment. To be honest: The fruits freak me out. I love the breakouts from the box. I am already building better consistency, but I have to have a long and hard look at those fruits. This Easter break I will study more on the fruits. Happy Easter.

Today Monday 20/4Trades:

Dax M1/M5

1. buy 40 pips
2. buy 52 pips
3. Sell 1.5 pips
4. buy 18 pips
5. buy 64 pips
6. buy -15 pips
Happy with that!!!!

BUT: I had still some other trades. breakouts, on GBPUSD, EURUSD and EURJPY, which together lost me 70 pips. Not good.

Still not comfortable with fruits, but the Dax breakout setups worked nicely. M1 is definitely too fast for me, though a few of the add ons were from M1. But I trade basically, though not exclusively, on M5
