Re: Tracker's Journal

At the beginning of the morning session I tried two breakouts. Both rents. Nothing wrong so far, but as the market went up I was stuck in that market has to turn around thought again. I think all the Fruits that I took except Campaign 208 had good angulation, but one or two tries short should have been enough. A nice SAR would have gotten me in the upwards move with a much better success rate than all those attempts to go against the trend. Once Immy wrote: " we are not contrarians per se", but that has not sunk into my mind so far. Why always that wish to want to go against the trend, when the higher probability, the path of least resistance is with the trend.!?!?
The afternoon session was slightly better. An Add On would have done the trick with that breakout. Moved my stop closer on the first long Fruit, because it was after a pretty long down move and the market was going into wave 4. I have to pay more attention to that.
Anyhow, I am still looking to get back on track. Kind of lost it after those successful batches. To desperate I guess. Have to slow down and relax. Have the patience to wait for the good setups. And stop fighting the trend.

The morning session concludes another negative batch. I have been thinking shorts at LO and then put my SL to close. Accept the risk or don't trade, but if you trade, do it right. Could have been +29 instead of -16.7 Pips. Apart from Pips it was managed the wrong way. Those AA Fruits Shorts where a little screwup. Didn't delete the order from the first Fruit and the market was kind of devious there as well. If it creeps down like that it often spikes up again. SAR was wrong here. Didn't want to miss out. Wonder for how much longer I have to write that sentence, till i get it! (rofl) . Anyway playing it right I could have gotten out of that whole situation there with just a minor loss. Then I had that idea of the market breaking out above the M5 AimsLevel. Do I trade M5? No, I don't! So stick to M1 (angry) .
Should have let it go with that AA Fruit. Not to much movement in the market.
The Ester Weekend will be partly used to look at my batches and figure out my mistake pattern.

Not very happy with the morning session. To much trading again. To much in and out. The Add On on Campaign 224 was to much. I think I have to trade less Breakouts. Just trade the Breakout if every signal is on go and not if I am afraid to miss out. Have to be more selective there. With that last 1-2 Setup my finger was hovering above the mouse button. Much nicer setup than Campaigns 226 & 227. A sign of being unsure not in the now and lack of discipline. It all comes down to discipline.
The afternoon session was just rents. And when the Breakout finally happened I didn't take it. All in all I think I am trading to many Breakouts. The best batches I had so far had more Fruit trades than Breakouts. I have to investigate that further. 10 Campaigns in two sessions is to many.

The morning session should have brought 80 Pips. Looking at it now it's seems crystal clear what the right course of action would have been. Just stay short. Doing less would have been more once again. Momentum down, gator open, no angulation on long Fruit, so just stay short. Probabilities where with the shorts.
No luck in the afternoon session either. Breakout & Add On short. Add On was to much, again. Then the short Fruit that did the trick for the NEO, had my PO in place already, but didn't take it. Why not? No idea. I can't get it right anymore. The right interpretation would have been, that it is at the top of wave 4 and the market is moving into wave 5. Kind of a 1-2 setup. Had a sell order below the Breakout level but removed it as I didn't want to get caught up in the chop again. Wrong, too.
I have to change something, but can't really put my finger on it. :-?

The morning session did it's best move without me, as I don't start trading before LO. Maybe have to rethink that, because there are some nice fruits that get you into nice trades before LO. Tried to Long Fruits that didn't work, but didn't do to much damage either. Exit on Campaign 238 was to early. Expected it to drop and closed it. Two AA Fruits short and the second one did the trick. Put a second add on in for the first time and it paid nicely. Maybe should have closed that trade after that last push. Gave 45 Pips back, but as discussed numerous times now, you never know. You have to stick to the plan or you are lost.
Closed that batch with minus Pips again, but I feel a change going on. I thinks it's not just because the last trade was positive, but something else that slowly clicks into place. ;)

The afternoon session started with a nice breakout trade, thought about squeezing an Add On in above AimsLevel to the left. Would have given me another 8 Pips. Then a 1-2 Setup Fruit short with Add On. I keept the SL tight because it was going into wave 4. Could have even been a little tighter. Campaign 243 was another try short. Should have moved my SL above the swing high here and prepared for Longs. I have to stay on top of the game more in these situations. Keep the risk low and give myself every opportunity to profit from the moves if and when they happen. - 5.9 Pips for the session, but I have the feeling that I am closing in on the prey. ;)

Mixed morning session, for me. Have to make up my mind for one direction. To much in and out. Entered short, and played it both ways at the first Fruit then SAR below that Fruit. The market pulled back and I closed it above green before the candle closed fear of losing!!! And in the end lost much more again. Just staying short would have done the trick. Camp 252 was ok, but I had that situation numerous times before. A PC was formed and the market turned around. Stop was ok, but why not go long at the Breakout!?!?!? Camp 254 was a nice short Fruit. Entered at the (1-2) pullback. Could have been a successful morning with a little less trading while the marked bounced around during the LO.
The afternoon session started with a Breakout long that didn't make it. Then I took the Breakout short below the 5 Minute AimsLevel. Stick to M1!! Fruit with angulation Long & Add On. My stop was pretty tight as I regarded that trade as going into wave 4. Got kicked out and reentered at Fruit that looked to me like a 1-2 setup. Squeezed two Add Ons in and got out below Fruit and green line. Had to stop trading there, right before the best trade of LO was about to happen. :(

The breakouts of the morning session could have been handled better. After the Breakout Long I should have taken the Fruit short and one Add On. I just took the Breakout and the Add On was way too late. Apart from that, I think up to Campaign 263 everything was reasonable. Campaign 264 was unnecessary and then I missed the Short Fruit and of course started screwing around with Long Fruits while the market keep going down. SAR on the second Long Fruit got me in the Short Trade, but of course I exited it above another Long Fruit, just before the market started to drop. ~x( Don't I want to make any Pips. Why can't I stick to my trades and rules!?!?
The afternoon session was some nice smooth trading, like it should and could be most of the time if I had the patience to wait for the right market conditions and setups. Missed one AA Fruit.

A disastrous morning session, the so called Breakout at LO was Bullshit. Stop should have been on the other side of the box, way to far away. Fear of missing something. Then really missed the Fruit Long and just erratic desperate actions that followed. With the usual result in that situation. Instead of just staying away trading for the sake of it. I have to find a way to get my emotions under control and stop acting agains my own best interest.
Tried A Breakout Long and a Breakout Short at NEO and then stopped trading as the marked just went sideways.
