Michael's (zlabis) D1 Investment Journal

Unread post by zlabis »

Here we go.

On Immy's suggestion, I've started trading/investing on D1 with a wide variety of markets on a € 10.000,- Demo-Account. I'm using standard AIMS entry alert template enhanced with fruit- and seed-indicator and I'm trying to trade the same setups as on M1 but with only 15 minutes time exposure daily. My maximum stop loss is 200 Pips on currencies.

The markets are:
EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD, NZDUSD, USDCHF, EURJPY, EURGBP, EURAUD, GBPAUD, GBPNZD, AUDCAD, AUDJPY, CADJPY, Gold, Silver, SP500, NAS100, WS30, DAX30

I have incurred about 5% rents but my open, running trades are worth nearly 35% so far. It's not compareable to daytrading as some trades are running since some weeks - that's really cool ;-)

Let's see how it will develop.

Thank you Michael for sharing your D1 charts and well done! (wd)

It's very interesting how different a chart looks when there is no extra Sunday involved.

For example here my AUDUSD chart where I got kicked out due to AIMS break.

Are you using GKFX here as well? I experienced that this broker is quite expensive on currencies.

Cheers,
Ralf

Personally I try to let SL stay in initial place until price moved to opposite side of alligator. Accept the risk that SL might hit. Just personal opinion chap.

Michael, looking good!

I fully agree. You are not proven right until moves on the other side of gator and you're not proven wrong until it breaks the low of fruit. stay in. :)

Michael! I'm worried now that after a few months you'll not be interested in trading m1. do you know why? D1 BEATS everything. you'll know in time.

I know that GKFX has rather high spreads on currencies. It's for demo purpose at the moment. If/When I start investing D1 live, I will look for alternatives.

Thanks Tomi. I do it like you stated. I leave SL untouched until price goes through gator completely. Therefor, I need setups with reasonable risk, I'm feeling comfortable with.

No worries, Immy. M1 is running so smoothly and is so much fun that I'll definitely NOT going quit it in mid term. But in long term I can not tell, to be honest. Who knows what future will bring ;-)

Really quite an eye opener! D1 has been referred to
as 'trading for grown ups'

Not that I would let that stop me :)

Look forward to following your progress

Once again I recommend Everyone, every aimster to start a daily demo account and trade it either Setup or Classic strategy. Seeds work exceptionally well on the daily time frame. use it as add ons. requires only 15 min of your time and you chose the time. best is eveningthough. calm relaxed mind and m15 min of taking decisions. do not look at it through the day at all. let it run!

Hi Silas,

no, I'm actually not trading D1 at the moment. It simply doesn't fit to my daily routine now. I will restart it in September.

Cheers
