Re: Tracker's Journal
Took some trades at NEO today, and ended up with 1 Pip in the end. Exited the first trade to early. Stop to close. To much risk on Camp. 313. And worst of all didn't take the nice 1-2 Setup that would have made for a nice profit.

Re: Tracker's Journal
Should have take the breakout long at NEO, but was convinced we would get wave 5 down. Don't think to much, but trade what you see! Tried AA Fruit short which didn't work. SAR was considered, but not taken, because I felt it would be to late in the move and the market didn't show that much vigor to go further up. Wanted to enter the Fruit short at a pullback of 50%, but just missed the entry there, so took the breakout below the Fruit. Trailed SL above swing highs. With the exit I should have waited for the next push down. And why not give the longs a chance!?!? Just 10 Pips risk. MT4 didn't run smoothly again on the way up after I closed my trades.

Hi Gregor,Tracker wrote:And why not give the longs a chance!?!? Just 10 Pips risk.
it's a good example if you're in tune with the market (in the zone) or not at that specific moment, IMHO. It often happens to me near the end of my trading session that I exit a good campaign and miss the reversal even when the risk is rather low. Had the same situation today after LO and that first nice down move. My mind gets stuck in the previous trade and focus/concentration is gone because thoughts are already somewhere else than trading.
So, you're not alone ;-)
Btw: very nice trading :-bd
Cheers

Re: Tracker's Journal
With those Breakouts at NEO I often have my SLs to tight. Same today. That results in to much in and out. It has to do with not really accepting the risk. Either I have to start with different lot sizes or use percentage. Was lucky in the end with Campaign 320, but so happy that it went finally up that I did not see the situation clearly and put my SL to close and missed out on 58 Pips. Probably would have just quit trading the, but as it was I had to try shorts. Should have kept the SLs tighter in this case as it was wave 4 and gone for wave 5 which would have made good for the losses. Still have to work on keeping that open mind and having a clear few of the probabilities.

Camp 319, Fruit long? hmmmm I don't get it...
David (Azadar) went long at the spot you got out camp 322 and one more time. over 100 pips for him. Why did you stop? daily Stop Loss hit?

With campaign 318 I took the AA Fruit from 5 minutes before long. To much playing around there. I didn't have my wits together and was just thinking wave 4 short instead of recognizing that wave 5 was about to happen.
Cheers Tracker.

Re: Tracker's Journal
Fridays NEO was a good close of the week for me. Went short at the AA Fruit with one Add on. Unfortunately I got kicked out there above the green line. Would have been the perfect spot for what followed. Maybe should have gotten out above the reverse Fruit there for some more pips. Anyway took the next breakout short, but for the first time with reduced lotsize, to account for the 30 something pips SL, followed by an add on as well with reduced lotsize as SL was still the same. The 2nd add on was the normal lot size. It dropped nicely after that and gave me a lot of pips, but of course not the account growth I would have had with normal lotsizes. Didn't get in the next push down as market had already dropped 111 Pips from the Fruit and I didn't really trust it to drop further.
Camp 323: Fruit AA Short
Trade 1: Fruit Short + 8.7 Pips
Trade 2: Add On - 3.7 Pips
Camp 324: Breakout Short
Trade 1: Breakout Short + 48.4 Pips (reduced lotsize)

Re: Tracker's Journal
NEO on Monday was traded why I was traveling. Stop for campaign 325 could have gone above the bar that signaled the change of mood, but the position of the SL where it was, was not a mistake. It's always a trade of. The entry into campaign 326 came to late. It should have been where the SL for 325 was with the entry point that I took as the first Add On. I have seen this setup so many times now, I wonder when I finally get it right. Campaign 327 was crap. At least I should have halved the position size, to account for the size of the candle. Exit of campaign 326 was good. It didn't really pull away from the gator, so I didn't take the exit candle short. Part of the reason might have also been that I was kind of glad, that I emerged unscathed of that first 30 minutes of NEO after committing two mistakes (late entry and short fruit).
Camp 325: Fruit Short
Trade 1: Fruit Short - 2.3 Pips
Trade 2: Add On 1 - 9.5 Pips

Re: Tracker's Journal
No trading on the 19th of May due to traveling.
The NEO session on the 20th of May started with a nice short Fruit that formed just one minute before. Entered it short with two add ons. exited the second add on after it pushed down. thought about closing all positions, as M5 and H1 where lumbering sideways and the marked had reached the lower edge of M5, but you never know...! Should have taken the exit fruit long, but with the FOMC meeting looming and the market being in that range, I didn't really trust it and was happy with my 57 pips. On the other hand, all this thoughts might be just bull and I should have taken the fruit for a nice long trade.
Camp 328: Fruit Short
Trade 1: Fruit Short + 25.8 Pips
Trade 2: Add On 1 + 11.0 Pips
Trade 3: Add On 2 + 20.0 Pips
