Re: David's journal

Friday was a mixed day. Did some pretty stupid stuff but I finished with a great campaign. Closed the day at +1.8%, DS 6/8.

I often see when doing my journal how the session could have been traded to gain over 10% account growth. I miss it because I didnt take the trade for whatever reason or closed too late or too early. The important thing is that opportunities are there, I just have to trade to the best of my ability and I will start seeing many more double digit account growth in a single day.

I modified my wonder woman pose to include a big smile. Smiling even when its forced and feels fake will influence your mind. Since you cant feel fear when your happy its a great way to get in a good state of mind for trading. I now start my trading session in the wonder woman pose, smiling and reading my affirmations and 5 fundamental truths.

Good results today but it could have been double that if not more had I traded all the signals so I am a bit disappointed. Closed the day at +8.5%,

That's what I focus on!

Think my post got deleted or something. here is the screenshot again.

Had difficulty hanging on to my profits today as most of the trades went into profit before turning back on me and closing at BE or small loss. Im not used to such high volatility and I think my results could have been much better with better exits.

Although im not very happy with my trading, Im happy about how I managed my emotions while trading. I missed out on a big move and felt anger at some point after a 5% trade turned on me to close at BE. But I managed to forget about all of it and focus the now instead. I feel like im more in control of my emotions now while trading.

Closed the day at +1.6%, DS 9/15. I stopped trading after the last 2 trades where I closed on fear and not a valid exit signal.

Closed the month at -0.5%. I had 4 terrible days (-27% total) that ruined the results for the whole month. I think with my 5% daily SL I should be able to reduce the impact of bad days in the future.

Due to holiday in Canada, The kids were home and I could only trade in the morning before they woke up. Closed the day at +1%, DS 5/6.

Today I took a BDC in direction of trend. After it went +10 pts, I pulled SL to BE. SL was touched and price pulled right back up and I missed a good chunk of profit. The reason I pulled SL to BE is because Grant does that with his seed strategy. While it makes perfect sense to do that on seeds, the BDCs I trade must have the potential to form a new aims level (otherwise I dont take the trade). Therefore I think it is better to leave SL on other side of BDC candle since for my SL to be hit, price would have to break the aims box (if box had time to form).

Took a few rents and lost confidence. After that it was just bad trading. Closed the day at -5%, DS 6/9.

Traded a bit too aggressively in a market that was not moving much. After getting stopped out by a fraction of a point while being loaded with shorts (and price dropping just after touching my SL) I lost confidence and didnt trade well for the rest of the session. Closed my trades too early and missed out on profits that would have erased all my rents.

On a good note though, I stopped trading after 5% loss. I didnt even hesitate, it was easy to stop. Thats a big improvement for me because not so long ago it was very hard for me to stop.

Started trading friday at the bottom of a nice wave 3 down. Made a few mistakes, rents started to weigh heavily on me mentally and ended up breaking my rules by taking 2 extra trades after my daily SL was reached. Closed at -7%, DS 4/8.

Monday had me paying quite a lot of rents until I finally caught a nice down move. Unfortunately my exit really sucked as I didnt follow my rules and got out at the wrong time. Follow the green line ! Closed the day at +2.8%, DS 11/12.

At one point, before the big down move, I was close to my daily SL at -4% and told myself to let go of the past trades and focus on whats happening right now. Maybe it was just luck but I think this had something to do with the big win I got right after.

After another rough day (closed at -5%, DS 9/11) and looking back at my stats, I have decided to change things a bit. I will no longer trade regular fruits as I have a hard time picking the correct trades from the wrong ones. I pay too many rents and am not profitable with regular fruits. Fruit is a great strategy, I just have not been able to be consistent with it. I will still trade AA fruits as these are easier for me to trade and I am profitable with AA fruits.
