Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
OK, NYO and NEO done for the day. I took two trades in NYO. unfortunately both were rents, but felt they were pretty solid. in hindsight,t he first one may have been in a wave that was more an impulse wave rather than corrective, but the rules were followed and close to 1% was rented. Same again with the following one with another 0.96% rent. I'd trade them again tomorrow, so it is just part of the game in the end. NEO comes along and we had a very strong push up. First few trade opportunities after that initial upthrust were discounted due to "rubber band" principal, but also because of that, I missed a great trade that was all of 5:1 with the correct TM techniques. That did bum me out a little bit to be honest.
We had a few opportunities since then, but they were mostly cancelled until the m5 Alli started to sleep, and then I did not trade as we want to trade with the trend. i was also not overly happy with the broker changing the spread today to 2 pips instead of just 1. When making trades with smaller SL, it does make quite a difference.
In all, 5% was on offer today and I managed to take close to a 2% rent. Must improve on this. See how things go tomorrow. It is not that I am taking incorrect trades, I am not taking the ones that are available.

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
LO done for today. I started late due to work, but have looked over the whole chart and what a competent trader would have done, including the returns on each trade. LO would have netted three trades today, a 2:1 at 1021.Another one was at 1024, but would have still been in a trade, so not taken as such. Next was a valid A.A. (1056) which is around when I got to the screen and that would have been a 1.5:1 trade. Then, a rent would have come in at 1114. The rest were either invalid due to smaller eWaves peaks or cancelled after PO placed.
In all, I think the competent trader would have gained 2.5% from the two hour session.
10 questions asked in the two hour window.
6 PO's placed for 3 entries
3 entries for two profitable trades (2.5%)
3 PO's cancelled
3 regarded as invalid
1 left as we would have been in a trade
NOW, I have got to convert this from after the fact to taking every setup that occurs.

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
Bit of a disappointing NYO and NEO session today.
Not because I missed trades, I did have the big positive of trading every valid setup (in my mind) and did not miss any either as far as the trade plan goes. Just disappointing that it was not a good session pip-wise. Took three trades and cancelled one for the session. Results were -7.5 Pips (-0.89%), -7.3 Pips (-0.93%) and -9.8 Pips (-0.99%) for a daily total of -24.6 pips and -2.79% for the day.
I think all trades were valid, and nothing was missed. Happy for anyone to discuss any trades or if I may have missed entries or even taken ones i shouldn't have. The trade plan makes it pretty clear to me now, and I can trade without fear of loss, but it still frustrates when you have a day when the charts aren't being kind.
Might feel a bit different if I was trading correctly the rest of this week, and taking the right trades, but many profitable ones have been missed as per my previous posts.
Back tomorrow with fresh vigour, and will trade LO and NYO/NEO the same as today, for much better end results hopefully. Not much fun when DS is increasing but equity is not.

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
Frustrating LO for me today. There was nothing right on LO but soon after, it started to climb to its eventual W3 peak. Luckily in some ways, I missed the first Cherry entry on the first pullback as it would have been a rent, but I did take the second one as price did pull back tot he gator and it was not looking like an impulse dow, rtaher a corrective pullback. Took the trade and it stayed in drawdown for most of it, hardly going above the range, until it was stopped out on my moved SL which was moved behind the AIMS levels as per my trade plan.
A think that pissed me off a fair bit with it was the seemingly usual pattern of the price taking off just after my trade was stopped out, which would hev been a bit over a 2% trade, but instead, I took a 0.5% rent out of the one I traded.
In the Skype room, it was identified that maybe the eWave had peaked too high, and if that was the case, the DS score would be 0 on that trade. The signals afterwards would have also fallen into the same category with eWaves quite high so weren't traded.
On some charts, there was a cherry right before the upmove after I was closed out, but it wasn't on my chart and therefore not considered at all.
London Open session was 1 trade, which in hindsight, should have been a trade free session by the sounds of it. 0.5% rent for the day so far.
Let's hope for a better NYO session...

Hey K,
hope you read what i put in Skype earlier but if you didn't...
i would have taken the exact same trade, the only difference is i wouldn't have moved my SL and so would have caught the move up...
you accept the risk of a stop out on entry so just leave the SL in place until you can get to at least BE with a trail...

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
Thanks Grant.
Seems like I can't win a trick at the moment with them. Not a great week at all results wise, and if it continues much longer, will have to relegate myself back to Demo to stem the loss of blood with it. Not even sure if my time int he Skype room may be putting my mind off a little, with me trying to trade a specific way, and advice/suggestions for other types of entry etc. In all, although i ahve learned a fair bit this week, the week has been confusing and frustrating.
I'll post the NYO charts shortly, but I didn't take a trade in this session, which annoyed me because there were about 3 valid entries that i should have taken, but started to become indecisive on W4's, whether they were impulsive or corrective pullbacks etc. getting too much into my head I think

Let me make that easier for you. We will all be trading Apples Seeds and Cherries from Monday onwards in the skype group.

Even Michael the awesome Zlabinger has changed to this. I always loved seeds for its great asymmetric risk reward. By trading Apples Seeds and Cherries and the occasional Setup 1 into wave 5 we've got all covered in one integrated strategy. I lvoe it! Look at David Richard he's got himself a nice 29% week. And keep in mind he does not trade the european session!
Lets do it buddy!
psst: i've hit my 500 runs mark with today's game hopefully heading towards 750 by the end of the season! goals are a very good thing! we should always have 3 stages of goals and work towards them!

Hi Kooky. The indicators come from Steve Norman (Snorm), who also made other indicator bundles to purchase amongst many other great tools. . I believe they are being tested to to make sure they are doing as they have been intended, then I reckon they will be available in his website.

Nice stuff with the cricket Immy. Many times, I miss not playing anymore, but in other respects, it has freed my time up for trading (weeknights instead of training) and sailing on weekends as well as the important time with Ryan when he is over.
Fresh start this week, albeit with a few lessons from last week. Look forward, not back
