The Journal of MattyMattz

Unread post by mattymattz »

Hey gang,

Matt here. New to the club. Just wanted to get things rolling off the bat and say hey. Still lots to read! I've opened up a demo account and plan on starting soon. If it's okay, I'd like to share my demo trades as well, just in hopes that I get comments on any mistakes I make/miss. I have some experience in the binary world, but was looking for something more stable and less stressful ;)

Thanks again for the opportunity,

MM

Hi

Welcome to Aims. Starting your journal is the first big step towards success. Now what you need is to structure your trading with a written down trading plan.
And fully understand consistency as that is our goal. Apply t20 principle and learn from every trade by recording it with pictures and both technical and mental analysis

Cheers

Hi Immy, thanks for the welcoming words. Once I finish all this reading, I'll be sure to write down a trading plan.
On a side note - I've been trying to access the live chat, but no luck so far - maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks

Matt

I really don't want people to join skype before they have spent at least a month here! but you've joined now...so its ok. read the material. adsorb the strategies and hopefully you won't feel overwhelmed rather excited about the rich information. you will feel over whelmed if you are rushing and trying to adsorb everything. lets hope you understand the essence of aims!

Thanks Immy, I appreciate the skype invite. I find I learn much more by just observing others do their thing :)

So I've made my first trade (demo of course). I'm solely focusing on proper entry for the moment. Practicing The Setup right now, then will move onto The Fruit when I'm more comfortable.

I feel this trade went okay. I got the dot signal from the indicator, so I checked that the gator was sleeping, that the gator was below the purple line and that the LZ was near zero. I set a pending order for a breakout at the bottom of the box and added a SL just above the top.

Trade 1 (Setup): .70293 to .70281 = +12 = +1.2%

I do realize that its not a pair I'd not normally trade, but I'm monitoring multiple pairs just to practice seeing a trading opportunity. I will also adjust my lot size down the road.

Another trade. I believe it met all requirements. I exited early due to a buy fruit signal appearing.

Trade 2 (Setup): 119.315 to 119.310 = +4 = +0.4%

Below you'll see my first 2 attempts at The Fruit. Both turned out well, so I hope they were valid entries and exits. Appriciate any feedback - thanks!

Fruit Trade 1 - EURUSD: 1.12663 to 1.12721 = +58 = +5.8%
Fruit Trade 2 - AUDUSD: 0.70165 to 0.70115 = +50 = +5%

I thought the angle on Trade 2 was better than Trade 1, but it may not have had enough candles to actually qualify.... I'm still learning on where to start the angle lines. I know you go back to when the gator is sleeping, but I guess I'll need some clarification.

Thanks,
MM

Another small update. I've been practicing my fruit trades over the past few days.

Today I tried my hand at fruits again, but also with add-ons. I first attempt turned into my best trade to date, so I can only hope that it doesn't stay that way lol.

The trade was on the UJ, which I don't normally trade, but was watching it due to some chatter about the pair in the skype room (thanks Immy lol).

Fruit trade at the 15:46 mark, exited at the buy signal at 15:53 mark = +137.88, +13.7%
Add on at Dot Signal = +59.27, +5.9%

If this was live, would definitely be done for the day.

Cheers,
Matt

Great trading Matt and welcome to AIMS. Just be careful with your trade sizing mate. This trade is +14.1 pips (119.095 to 118.954), not +137.8. Don't want to see you caught out with positions too large!
Cheers
