Hi everyone,

What a difficult day to be an m1 trader or was it just me….

Price has gone down from the moment London opened for the 2nd day running. Yesterday it gave us 5/6 entries for some good +pips of which I traded 1, today it moved the same number pips down only setting up once to my eye and that paid rent of 2.5 pips (-0.19%).

To make matters worse the circus is in town tomorrow (NFP release) so will trade with caution for the first hour or so of London then try after the actual release…

Same here, but I got one with an add on in the end and that got me to +13 and now up 1%. In the past I would have done many more pips today but the account would have gone only 1% whats better?

Hi Grant...what level was your exit here as as I read it you lost 2.6% but i can't see it on the chart ...what actual price did you exit pls ?

Hi Nick.

the rent paid was 2.5 PIPS.... entry 1.2845 and exit 1.28475

my God my heart couldn't take a 2.6% rent on 1 trade... LOL

When you say in your trade management doc ...point 4. Trail AIMS...can u quickly remind me what that is pls ?

Sure,

for this example i am in a buy trade....

Once the SL is moved to -4 at +5 pips i then wait for an aims low to form and confirm. Once confirmed i will place my SL 3 pips under that level as long as it isnt moving it further away from my entry....

depending on how the price action progress' i will move the SL every time a new aims low confirms, thus trailing aims levels.

for a short trade use aims highs...

HI Everyone,

No trades for me today, nothing set up in the first couple hours of London then i didnt get chance to look after the NFP release as my twins had other ideas for our afternoon.

So a sedate easing back into trading for the first week of the new year, +23.4 pips (+1.8%).

Hi Grant

Thanks for your posts, they are really helping me gauge my own performance.

No trades for me either today, I saw no setups this morning and then was out until 4pm and have seen no setups since.

Looking forward to making some more pips next week
