Re: Grants Journal [Awarded Title: Guru of the Gurus]
Hi Grant,
Many thanks for sharing your trades with us.
During today's session a discussion came up whether a seed/cherry/dot candle is valid only when AO pullback happened after the highest peak since the cross or whether the peak just have to be higher than the previous one. What is your view on this?
And one further question: I understand that for seed the pullback has to be reflective of momentum move. Do you have the same approach for cherry? I've the impression that for cherry the approach might be different.
Many thanks,
Ralf

Re: Grants Journal [Awarded Title: Guru of the Gurus]
Afternoon,
Eventful day today.
Spent the the wrong part of the am getting the correct indies on my chart after not getting a cherry when everybody else in the chat room did... Turned out i had the wrong bloody indy...
Costly error as i had to sit and watch that beauty of a down trend... SO out of the 380 point down move i collected a juicy 0... (rofl) (rofl)
Pm session was a tad better and the bastards fancied moving it some more rather than just going sideways...
Pics attached

Well done matey well done ! 6% is just fantastic, but they all add up. some days we have -2% other days plus 6%. What matters is the result at the end of batch of trades, weekly and monthly results must be positive... Moty was up 10%. today .. both great traders ...

Hi Ralf,
Firstly, many many apologies for taking soooo long to reply to this... I am useless.
With regard to the peak height the short answer is that the new peak must be lower than the previous one only, not the necessarily the biggest peak over all. I attach a long and short example below.
A is the initial peak
B is the next smaller peak (so no trades on this peak)
C is bigger than B so trades are valid
Seeds, cherries and dot candles all follow the same rules from the flow chart
Hope this helps
Grant

Re: Grants Journal [Awarded Title: Guru of the Gurus]
Evening All,
Just a follow up from the post earlier regarding bigger peaks using price action from today, albeit outside of my trading hours.
In the pic attached i would like to think if i had been trading live i would have done the following. It also is assuming that the 1 bar colour changes are being ignored:
ewaves peaks at A and starts to retrace but there is no entry.
ewaves then makes a lower peak at B so no trade at point 1
ewaves then makes another lower peak so no trade at point 2
ewaves then makes a slightly higher peak at D so points 3 4 and 5 are valid...
HOWEVER TZ 1 would have been hit before point 3 so would i have taken the following set ups (3 4 5)... would depend i guess on what kind of day/session i had had... if they were to be my first entries then no, if i was sitting on healthy profits then yes.....
So in a long winded way i hope that explains the ewaves peak query a little better..
