Re: Seabreeze Journal

It was my first session in the Skype chat today and I loved it. The guys made me feel at ease and welcome. I already felt the benefit of taking part. (hug)

The guys happily answered a couple of questions and Immy was brilliant in leading the group and asking me questions.

Immy made me realise that although I have a trading plan it is incomplete so back to making the plan water tight.

Thanks Immy and the guys.

My visits to skype will be here and there because of my demanding job. but will be there when ever I can. I think I have most of this week off so should be good for this week.

Have a great Evening, Morning or Afternoon depending where you are

I cant wait for tomorrow

Hi Guys

Enjoyed another LO session in the Skype chat and was able to take this cherry trade quite early in the session for a 2% gain for 1% risk.
I'm done trading for day happy with my 2%, but will watch charts in Neo for learning purpose only on a demo so I don't get tempted

Comments

What have I learnt today ?

1/ Desipline is king

2/ Monarchs set ups have a higher probability of success

3/ Make sure there is enough room between entry and TZ1

London session was a bit slow with a push pull type of market and no real sense of direction. Market waiting for FOMC news and may see better movement in NEO session. I entered two trades First trade was a seed signal

Trade 1

Was a seed entry and gator was slightly open on M5 thought it might worth an entry started off ok and went far enough to set BE but was taken out shortly after.

Trade 2

A cherry trade. Similar kind of movement to the seed trade, had a open gator 1M and slightly open on 5M and same again went far enough to set BE but taken out shortly after. So nothing lost nothing gained except experience and thats a positive.

After this trade I decided to take a break from the markets as I did not like the look of the charts. I will come back a 1pm see if things look better.

Comment

So what have I learnt today

If markets are not quite right, do not try to force it ...Want what the market wants...

The New York session went much better. Price broke out of its morning range and gave me a little hope of some movement and we got it.

Everything lined up nicely gators on both 1m and 5m open and pointing up first peak of AO on 1M with pull back, signal bar outside gators and target profit right on TZ1 my mouth was watering.

2% gain for 1% risk

This is my definition of a perfect monarch setup. Volatility based breakout , the breakout was above the range, it was above H1 box, in the direction of higher time frame trends. in line with m5 structure ... very good.

The London open started on a steady note and gators took a little nap on M1 before waking up for a snack. M5 gators also open. The gators then remained open at a steady angle up and Aims boxes were showing step formation up with higher lows then a seed entry signal appeared and my entry rules were all in place for this seed entry.

I did make a slight miss calculation of the TZ1 I thought I had 20 pips but it was only 15 pips but because I was already in the trade by then I decided to Take Profit at TZ1 Result 1.5% gain for 1% risk

Comments

Grant mentioned he wasn't in the trade because there was fifteen bars on AO with out colour change. This is something I will look into. Thanks Grant ^:)^

good trade mate, i think he did not take it because he was coming towards the end of his sessoin and having not found a signal within faster moving markets and nearer to the open time he thought it was better to not risk it. I can assure you from experience that had he already take na trade earlier he would have taken this and stayed till at least 2%. If you end up taking anything less than 2% , know it that in the long run it will create problems. So even if you had realised your TZ1 mistake all you had to do was bring SL to BE and thats it. So our Trade management is very objective and methodical. SL at -1% Risk a 1:1 Move to BE and then do nothing... let it hit 2% or 2R's TP. thats it.

keep going keep going

No trades for me in US session.

Things just didn't quite line up according to my trading plan so proud of myself for not being tempted.

Thanks for the comments Immy all taken on board and the dots have gone
