Thanks for the tips. I will have to review my copy of "Trading In The Zone" because I am definitely not in it! Is there a book called "Dazed, Confused, and Not Getting It"? Although I am not getting notified of your new posts, I will check in regularly to see what you are up to.

Hi Ed
Thanks for your post. If you keep reading peoples Journals especially Grants and MZ I am sure you will pick it up ok bit by bit as they are both very good Journals. I would also be happy to help anyway I can. The real expert here is Immy and I am sure he will be very glad to assist you as he is a real top guy and a mine of information. He is the Grand Master of Aims.

Hope things become clearer for you in the meantime have a great Thanksgiving

I wasn't able to Join skype today a I was trading from my works terminal. Gaters on M5 were open and pointing up with a nice AO forming at London open so I was looking for long set ups on M1 charts.

First seed appeared at 10:15 but I filtered and passed on this as price had moved in a strong direction up in the open minutes and felt the pullback wasn't deep enough.

At 11:27 a Nice Cherry signal came with enough room for a 2% profit in the area of TZ1 and my Pending Order was set ready for action. I was soon in the trade and my TP was soon hit giving me my 2%.

London open was non starter for me as I was called away due to work telephone call and I missed the nice Chery signal at 11.03. No more signals were worth taking in the London session.

Didn't trade the New York session as there seemed to be some sort of feed problem with broker which gave unstable data. So give it a wide birth.

Just completed a summary of November and the results are as follows

16 Trades
9 Wins
5 BE
2 Rents

16,2% Profit

DS 14 from possible 16

I have noticed how much more disciplined I have become over last few weeks and that is due to my completed trading plan, Yes it really works having a plan and I strongly advise any new Aims trader to stop trading until they have a trading plan completed, you will not regret it.
Don't get me wrong there is still room or improvement but I am getting better and better at it and I feel my discipline getting stronger.

Hi

Well done, and congratulations on this quantum leap. its a great initial success. as grant said, Rinse and repeat. this is where most of fail. we rinse but don't repeat. but the fact that you have completed and realised the power of a "written" thought through trading plan, you are way ahead of 98% of other traders. We are creating history here.... gigantic miles stones and bench marks have been set. i see a great bright future for aimsters...

Thank you for the comments Guys.
Yes Aims has really helped put me on the right path and has changed the way I think about the markets. Its changed the way I think of life and its changed me as a person. Never thought I would spend fifteen mins a day meditating but I love it and helps me cleanse my mind. I have a routine that allow me to trade, work and spend time with my family. I now know I am playing a probability game and wont win everyday, but if I keep my discipline razor sharp, when probability levels out after a group of trades the odds are in my favour.

I am really passionate and focussed about my trading and will keep disciplined now I know the true power of it. As Immy says its only early days for me yet but if I keep my journal updated I will be able to see if I start to go stale and I am sure the guys will kick my ass back into touch if I stray. If my journal helps and inspires other in some way then that's great too.

Thanks to Immy, Grant, MZ, Moty and the other guys in skype. Looking forward to the future.

John
