Hi Kiravon

Just had a quick question regarding the above. During times of ranging markets, wouldn't this system generate many losses. Looking at the first chart above, there were at least two instances where you may have gotten in based on the rules, and it would have immediately reversed. Not trying to be negative. Just asking. Thanks

Hi Peter
Re. the above Magic Indicator System

The above post was slightly tongue in cheek although
it's true the idea for the system did come to me
over lunch today like a flash of inspiration.

Whilst I genuinely think it is a lot of fun I am not recommending
you try this system but it can be very helpful to play around with
different ideas to improve chart reading skills.

But you are correct in that most systems do not work well
in a range bound market and trend is certainly your friend

But if you want a strategy that is time tested and proven
just stick to the original AIMS setup.

I doubt that you will find a more robust system than that
although the actual system we use is only a small part of our
trading success.

In the end we all have to learn to read the market
and you are certainly in the right place

Most of the guys on this forum are very supportive
and constructive and will give you all the help you will need

I have personally learnt more and progressed more over
the last nine months on this site than in the many years
before that messing around on other forums

The idea of forums generally is to contribute and to try to
be as helpful and constructive as possible.

but I personally try to contain my thoughts within
my personal journal so as not to intrude into
the general forum, and the object of my personal
journal is just that - to keep a record of everything
I think and try out. Most of what I record is literally
for my own benefit. When I sound like I might be
teaching it is usually just internalizing. I am the
least qualified to teach here- there are some great traders
here

and the feedback from others is very valuable too. it can
really help you to keep on track.

But when you think there are almost 1,200 members
you are not going to please everyone all the time so
I am trying to be more cautious what I post especially
with regard to the implications.

I see you've been a member two years longer
than me, actually I was dormant for quite a
long time

Its good to see you're getting more involved now

Let me know if I can be of any more help

Regards

+0.5% DS?

I have absolutely no idea what happened here!

I don't know if I lacked discipline or what?

I made a very small win but price went all the way down
to TZ1 so I have no idea why I closed the trade almost
straightaway, it just makes no sense

You can hear Mariah's voice. but she isn't singing!
This is a MIDI file that can only play sounds from
your PC soundcard. it can't play vocal sounds.

So your mind is imagining things?

Like sometimes when you look at the charts?
