Tue. Jan. 05, 2016
Screen time:
London Open session 9:00 - 11:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
NEO session 15:30 - 17:30 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
As The Hunt gives me a reasonably smaller amount of signals but of higher quality than my previous system with Seed/Cherry/Apple- and additional S1/S2/MIB-entries, it is much more relaxed and mentally less demandig. On the other hand it has a smaller factor of opportunity which is, beside profit factor and winning rate, the third fundamental control variable for profitability of a system. I've decided to add NYO- and/or NEO-session to my trading schedule to increase, probably double, my personal factor of opportunity.
LO was mainly characterized by very good movement and obvious structure but with the lack of clear signals. Unfortunately the only creme de la creme signal, the Monarch Cherry of Trade 1, was not marked as Cherry by indicator (see screenshot).
I ended up with nearly BE at LO-session
NEO-session had very strong movement but not that lovely 3-4-5 structure of LO session. It was more a huge up-range which was big enough for good signals. Unfortunately there didn't show up any ones at promising spots like Monarch AO. I gave one a try (Trade 2) which rented at init SL and failed to enter a second one (PO got rejected) right at the end of NEo session.
All in all a mixed day for me. I'm fairly happy with my discipline and my patience but three rent days in a row dispite of very good movement and structure at all sessions is mentally a bit difficult. But tomorrow is another day ;-)
Today's result:
Trade 1: Setup: Monarch Cherry, Risk: 1R = 12.0p, Result: -1.0p = -0,08R, DS = 1
Trade 2: Setup: Seed, Risk: 1R = 7.0p, Result: -7.0p = -1.0R, DS = 1
Trading time: 4.00 hrs

Wed. Jan. 06, 2016
Screen time:
London Open session 9:00 - 13:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
Good movement and clear structure with high volatility during that LO session. Big gap of more than 150p screwed AO reading for the first part of session.
I had no trades. I placed 2 POs but deleted them immediately (see screenshots).
Rest of the signals were filtered as well according to description on the screenshot.
Today's result:
no trades taken
Trading time: 2.50 hrs

Thu. Jan. 07, 2016
Screen time:
London Open session 9:00 - 11:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
Afternoon session 15:00 - 17:30 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
LO-session:
Good movement and obvious structure which was distorted by huge gap of more than 200p at FO.
Trade 1:
It was a good Cherry signal at inside strong move at good level between channel and extreme but I should have filtered it because eWave was already labeled as w5. Neither the label nor the divergence was visible at the close zoom level I used at that time so I didn't filter the signal. I have to take care that I check details like that - it's in my responsibility => DS = 0.
I was lucky and price went down sharply after entry and it hit TP before it reversed a few seconds later.
The second signal of LO session was valid but not the best but I skipped it as I was writing in skype room at that time.
So I was very lucky in both situations this time. But if sample is big enough, luck and bad luck are getting eased out.
Afternoon session:
No trades because I filtered all signals except of the very first one. This first signal showed up two minutes after I had opened charts and I simply was not ready and prepared taking a trade.
Although movement and structure were clear and obvious, I filtered all signals according to explaination on screenshot.
Today's Result:
Trade 1: Setup: Cherry, Risk: 1R = 8p, Result: +19.0p = +2.4R, DS = 0
Trading time: 5.00 hrs

Fri. Jan. 08, 2016
Screen time:
London Open session 9:00 - 11:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
NPF session 14:00 - 15:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
LO-session:
DAX opened at FO with huge gap again. This time gap was more than 200p and screwed reading of AO deep into LO session.
Therefore I didn't consider w5 up on eWave after LO as correct and due to my analysis, it was w3 up. Based on this decission, it was looking for valid signals in that wave => Trade 1
Trade 1:
Rather good signal (although w5 already on eWave - see above) with very good potential to go hit move into w5 of w3. Analysis was correct but, after PO got triggered, price dipped down once more a little bit before it went up nicely and hit micro TZ1 with pace. That little dip was enough to hit init SL with -1R. NEXT ;-)
Trade 2:
Good Cherry into possible w5 but it simply didn't work out and reversed quickly after trade was entered. Init SL was hit with -1R.
NFP-session:
NFP resulted in a big up candle which was followed by a steady, stepped down move. There was one long signal soon after up-spike which I skipped because it was too far up and I wanted to wait for AO/eWave to reset and to hit a signal into w5.
Unfortunately I had to leave early unplanned.
Today's result:

Mon. Jan. 11, 2016
Screen time:
London Open session 9:00 - 11:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
NYO- & NEO-session 14:00 - 17:00 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
LO-session:
DAX opened with a reasonable down gap at FO but from first candle of LO session, it moved up sharply by 280p until first hour of LO session. First push-pull situations after LO didn't paint signal but the would have been filtered anyway by not passing filters of w5, divergence and TZ1.
Then, after a very strong up move, AO peaked, price pulled back and some signals showed up but I skipped them because I thought that they were way too far up from The Cannel and AO was too old/too big already.
During that time I had a lively conversation with Immy and Grant in Skype room according filtering (or better not filtering) signals of "The Hunt" system. After listening to all solid arguments and based on my own experience of back testing 6 months of "The Hunt" with Forex Tester 2, I decided to stick to most simple and easy approach, that I will take all signals which meet criteria of Grant's Seed Flow Chart and pass the 2 basic standard-filters.
Trade 1:
Having had decided so, I took Trade 1 which was a valid signal althoug it was more into correction towards the Channel with PA which indicated a minor down trend of some degree. But I didn't care as the statistic advantage is on my side if I take valid signals according to Flow Chart and passing filters.
Price went up a bit after PO was triggered but then it reversed and hit init SL with -1.0R. Next.
No more signals showed up during LO session and I closed charts with -12p = -1R and DS = 1/1 for the morning session.
NYO- & NEO-session:
There was good movement after NYO but all signals until first few minutes of NEO were filtered because of w5 and TZ1.
It finally reversed after TZ1 got hot/broken several times and opened up new trading possibilities.
Trade 2:
There was a Cherry signal after w3 peaked and pulled back to Channel. Althoug not the best signal, price action wise, the criteria were met and filters passed, so I took it with confidence and without hasitation. A bit of confirmation of signal was the keylevel around 9927 which vas already valid for the whole day.
After PO was triggered, price move closely to SL but reversed into direction of TP. There was on tiny pullback before it proceeded in direction of the trade an triggered TP with +2R. A few seconds later it reversed and went into further correction.
There were 2 POs at good spots which got both invalidated and I canceled them.
All in all a very informative trading day thanks to Immy's and Grant's input in Skype room. Now it's the point where I can trade "The Hunt" like I used to do in Forex Tester 2 simulation.
Today's result:
Trade 1: Setup: Seed, Risk: 1R = 12p, Result: -12.0p = -1R, DS = 1
Trade 2: Setup: Cherry, Risk: 1R = 10.0p, Result: +20.0p = +2R, DS = 1

NYO- & NEO-session 14:00 - 16:30 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
LO session:
There was a beautiful Cherry right after LO, but I missed it because I was not ready yet, which led into big up move of 115p during whole 2hrs LO session. 2 signals were skipped at top of w3 and it went into clear and obvious w4.
After breakout into possible w5 there showed up a great Monarch Seed =>
=> Trade 1 (Monarch Seed, SL=10p=1R, TP=20p):
It simply didn't work out and hit inti SL with 1p slippage with -11p = -1.1R, DS = 1. Next
NYO- & NEO-session
Still very clear and obvious structure and movement present.
A few minutes after NYO there took place a pullback with some signals right at Channel.
Trade 2 (Seed, SL=7p=1R, TP = 14p) :
Seed into possible w5 or even w3 of w5 which nearly touched upper border of Channel. PO wasn't even properly touched but it got triggered nevertheless probably. It didn't work out and init SL got hit with -1p again. -8p = -1.14R, DS = 1
Trade 3 (Cherry, SL=10p=1R, TP=20p):
Second attempt to catch that up-wave and this time it worked out nicely. Up move was very strong and TP, right at mTZ1, got hit to the point.
+20p = +2R, DS = 1
Today I have found my last missing puzzle pieces of The Hunt strategy due to Immy's relentless effort to explain everything with patience of a saint and trading was already much more fluent and effortless as last days.
Today's result:
Trade 1: Setup: Monarch Seed, Risk: 1R = 10p, Result: -11.0p = -1.1R, DS = 1
Trade 2: Setup: Seed, Risk: 1R = 7.0p, Result: -8.0p = -1.14R, DS = 1
Trade 3: Setup: Cherry, Risk: 1R = 10.0p, Result: +20.0p = +2R, DS = 1

Re: Michael's (zlabis) Journal [The Magician]
Tue. Mar. 01, 2016
Screen time:
London Open session 9:00 - 11:30 (GMT+1) M1/M5 DAX only - LIVE
My journal has got a big hole of more than a month. There are plenty of reasons for that but main reason was that I simply was not able to motivate myself. I had the feeling of being a bit burned out, probably due to my attempt to trade both sessions alongside my day job what turned out to be much too much effort. I've realised that it's much more important to save some time, energy and motivation for proper paper work (like keeping records and journal up to date, analysing the trades) and high quality spare time instead of running behind trades by forcing myself to a second trading session.
I took a big real estate project as a welcome occasion for a trading brake to sort everything out again.
Here it goes. I'm not pushing myself to update the missing parts of my journal but I will keep it up to date on a daily base from now on again and, as long as I'm a part timer I will stick to only one trading session, mainly LO.
First of a month is always a good time for reboot and I couldn't have got it better as Immy introduced some modifications to the very methodical but rigid (in a positive manner) "The Hunt" system, namely by adding S1/classic breakout entries in combination with Alligator and AIMS-Box indies. I removed AIMS Channel from chart an got a very familiar chart view: AIMS Box, AIMS Gator, The Hunt - Seed, The Hunt - Cherry, Snorms eWave.
At the beginning of LO session, there were 2 great classic breakout situations during big w3 up but I was busy with updating some indicators but after wave 3 was obviously over, I draw my fib levels (retrecement and expansion) and waited patiently for w4 to be finished and w5 to get started. The clear and obvious indication for it was a great M1 Adam's Apple in combination with a beautiful M5 Cherry.
Trade 1 - S1/Classic breakout:
After symmetry and TL of w4 was broken, there was a nice and smooth w1-2 before AIMS box tightend clearly. I was waiting for the breakout and therefore placed my PO above with SL below box. TP at 2R is still my fix target for the moment and it was clearly below TZ1. After a strong breakout bar, price came down again but didn't hit SL before it finaly broke out towards TZ1.
As there was a second trade, after SL was brought to BE by passing 1R level, I moved TP to 2R-TP level of second trade which was still reasonably below TZ1 and even recent w3 swing high. It got hit there with nice +3.4R.
S1/Classic long, SL = 13.5p = 1R, TP = 26.5p = 2R moved to 46.5p = 3.4R
Result: +46.5p = +3.4R, DS = 1
Trade 2 - Cherry
While S1-Trade into w5 was still running and already risk free (SL at BE), there showed up a beautiful, picture book Cherry setup. I took it gatefully without hasitation as TZ1 and even w3 swing high was far enough away. It worked out quickly and hit TP at +2R in about 3 minutes.
Cherry long, SL = 7.8p = 1R, TP = 15.6p = 2R
Result: +15.6p = +2.0R, DS = 1
Today's Result: +62.1p = + 5.4R, DS = 2 / 2, 2.50 hrs
I was happy to catch parts of that great structured move and closed chart for the day with a good feeling but I'm aware that there will be days when it will not be that clear and obvious.
