Ray,

Appreciate you passing on the YouTube links. Have watched the Mark Douglas tribute and have one of his older videos cued up to review. Have been interested in Jack Schwager so will enjoy his video.

Thanks,

Ed

The story about the chauffeur is good :)

Today's been a slow kind of day, your part of the world not present at trading terminals

Not a lot of chatter on here these days?

Yesterday was slow going, seeing the NY monkeys weren't there to stimulate any action

Today, a bit better.

Just been plotting equity curve, the last 500 trades, taken over about 6 weeks. Makes me feel better, I would call it fairly steady progress but I must reduce the zig zags (wave 4s) !

Starting from 19m50s on this video is an important message

Good trading should be EFFORTLESS

you don't get better by forcing it and working harder

I am due a lot of criticism for some of my errors this week, but I'm still ahead of target so the woopsie of a big losing trade on chart below doesn't do more than deprive me of a bit of chocolate
513 pips so far for the month

I realise that while we trade share indices like Dax we don't really care whether the market moves up or down as the system is capable of making gains either way, nevertheless of course other assets we might have such as pensions are liable to suffer

But are we about to go back into economic recession?

I have for a long time believed in the Baltic Dry, a shipping cost index, as a sign.

This article is scary reading:

I stayed in this one a bit too long, and probably late getting in too, nevertheless 57 pips was a good start to the day :)

Short again since 0840, not recommending anyone does what I do though lol

Not a lot of time for trading today, although +2.2% from 3 hrs trading in the morning

Fact: Of the last 100 trades I have let 64 of them go to loss, but the 36 which were profitable have enabled me in those 100 tries to add 61% to the account, generally at low risk, and all from 419 pips. I know you could call my present system sloppy, but it works, I dump many trades which look liable to go wrong as soon as possible, whether or not they would have subsequently been OK, and I feel quite relaxed, more stress-free than I have been for a long time.
