haha are you questioning my parentage or just pulling my leg ? LOL Trust me this is harder than trading wheat and gasoil and futures and other stuff I did in my previous career, but I thrive on the buzz it gives me

I dont think I do anything others who know the theory don't do but I will usually stick at it on a bad day to see if I can manage to turn bad luck into better luck, that's where the tenacity comes in.

Although I got 22 pips and 0.4% return on a trade opened just after Frankfurt Open, I tightened up the stop loss more than my rules say, to try and preserve my gain, but I got stopped out when it dipped before racing up. If I had not done that I would have had nearer 100 (110pips max excursion so far), I didn't heed a re-entry signal a few minutes later either because I went to get a cup of coffee.

I think a lot of us find that bad outcomes are often due to deviating away from our own plan!
I keep reminding myself to remember that, but ah well.......... that was a win, and a win is progress, thank you market.

6 wins and 10 losses today

Account up 4.7%

Main reason for leakage of pips was again I have been greedy, holding on for as long as I dare, and too long really.

There seemed to be plenty of setups

125 pips
PF today 2.4

I don't know where the butler parks them.

Yesterday afternoon was definitely juicy, it looks like you had some of it too.

However I messed up by staying in about 25 minutes too long, could have had well over 100 pips, in the event I had 69. (I refer to pips not a position) and that one yielded nearly 3.5% on the lot size I was carrying.

I can't remember the reasons for my decisions at the time, I started at 1639 (2:39pm) presumably because of wanting to satisfy myself the purple line was being breached, and while I should have got out about an hour later it wasnt until 4:06pm that I closed the trade. Anyway a win is a win even if I only had a proportion of what was available.

I enjoyed this one, 45 pips, could have done a bit better but it was very acceptable

I'm finished for the day now, going out, every day of the month January has been a winner.
Returns were almost identical to December although there were fewer trades 269 v 371

Of those 269, 165 trades were losing. Yet +835 pips overall
Major psychology involved in learning that it pays to love having a fair number of small losses and try the next opportunity.
The system has an edge, and in the long run the 40% of trades which are winning trades can far outweigh the "rents" paid, and do wondrous things to the account
"According to your faith be it unto you". The bible.

Finally this was sent to me today by a fund manager

Missed the bottom, but here were 51 pips anyway. I expect it will plummet now!

80 pips this afternoon. Seems like a good enough result

Opened 1317 GMT closed around 1530 after breaking m1 fractal on SL

The scatter chart shows how the pips arrived in the latest 100 trades

They hardly look a convincing set of wins but nevertheless were enough to produce nearly 25% capital growth

The final chart shows cumulative gains from the latest 500 trades, the right hand side in red are trades taken since New Year

Late update: Today was crazy but eventually profitable. Only 2 winners (chart on previous post and this post) and lots of small losers because of the way I traded, but they were big wins, causing an overall profit factor of 1.95 and a net return of 5.2%. Worst trade was less than 1% loss. If every day was like this I would still be happy so would the Veyron dealer
