Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
Thursday 25th
Not such a great day today. I had started to feel comfortable taking trades by sight and not checking my checklist and missed some very important filters, which would have saved some rents and DS.
Two trades, two rents and a DS of +1 and 0.
LO was a little messy, although the BO traders gained a lovely 2% initially. Waited for the direction to show itself. A significant gap at FO altered the channel as such, but towards the end of the session, we did finally get a breakout from channel and pullback, with a fresh A0 peak. Took the trade and rented fairly quickly. That was a DS=1 in my opinion, but the next one taken (marked 2) did also have the breakout and fresh A0 peak, but I had not considered the filters properly. The price was already below TZ1, which should have rendered the trade filtered, and there was also divergence, so two filters told me not to take it, yet I ignored they even existed. Not happy with myself for that. I think that consciously, I feel that I am trading without being keen or emotional to take a trade, yet subconsciously, I must have been and have paid for that mistake.
Hopefully, lesson learned and I will come in to tomorrow (if I can - son is here then) to trade correctly.
Day result -2R, DS of +1 and 0

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
Friday 26th Feb.
No trades today. My son was around and was settling him in to bed while trading hours were active. I did have a few looks at the charts, but nothing to trade. Roll on to Monday and the last day of the month. That will be two months down in the three month Hunt challenge, although I didn't trade half of January

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
A disappointing end to February, but great news. A new month starts tomorrow.
I took two trades today, and in my eyes, I took a DS=0 out of the session.
First trade was after a fairly big drop off, and retracement. It was in W5, and had passed TZ1, so I should not have placed a trade at all. After a few seeds etc came up but did not take off, I felt it was due to drop, and so did much of the Skype room. Although that was the general consensus, I am the one responsible for my trade plan, and went against it. Took the rent and a DS=0. Soon afterwards, there was a nice juicy S1 on m1. I had a look and took the entry. The only thing was that the A0 was quite old, so that should have invalidated that short. Again, a rent with a DS=0. That said, I realised the errors after a little while, and was a bit angry at myself. Not the time to trade, so I stepped back both because of -2R in a session, and because I was not in an emotionless state.
That rounded out the month (obviously), and it was a negative one for me, but that is also reflected in to poor DS record, which I will have to pick up when the next one starts. My aim now it to gain a DS of 4/4 to complete this T20.
Bearing in mind the mistake of having DAX trades on for NFP which yielded -4.59%, a month end of -6.47% is not as poor as first thought. Take that away and the month was only a 2R away from just about BE.
March will be much improved. I will improve my trading selections, and the results will speak for themselves. Looking forward to it.

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
No trades for me today for the first of the month, as I was with my son. However,t here was one ideal setup which I will post below. Would have made a nice comfortable 2:1 from it. Oh look where TZ1 ended up?? Posting it for visualisation purposes. On to tomorrow

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
OK, had two trades today, and am much happier to report that they were each a DS=1. Unfortunate thing was that they were rents, but that's part of the game, and the winning trades will come.
Ignored the first two cherry's, simply due tot he pullback being just the same as the angle down, Later on, Immy mentioned in the skype chat that I need to not be as critical on them, especially the first out of the break. I'll keep that one in mind.
Soon after, we peaked on We and pulled back somewhat. Still a little from the channel (yes, I still have it), but we had a little zig-zag on the pullback which I like and Entered. For some strange reason, my SL was inside the signal candle?? First time that happened. Anyway, it ran to SL, and would have done the same had the SL been higher as well. Rent, but quite satisfied as it was a DS=1 trade.
Later in the session, we had a break out from the channel to the high side and pullback to just above the channel. Was happy with this long Cherry, but again, it didn't work out for me this time. Still a DS=1, so a correct trade for me.
2 rents, but more importantly two DS=1 trades. Sticking to better DS selection, I will get some great runs of winning trades, so I only consider this the same as being in a W2. The W3 is in front of us and I will be exploiting it for all I can

Re: Kyle's Journal Mk2
Hey Kyle,
nice entries which didn't work out this time but, I'm sure they will more often than not in the long run
)
According to your SL-issue: maybe your ATM "forgot" your custom "min. SL" settings. That happens sometimes to me if ATM can't read it's configuration csv-file due to parallel ATM instances. Hope I've described it meaningfully ;-)
Cheers
