Re: Ray's amnesty page
I have been frustrated by broken IT today, and not on my normal computer, hence no custom indicators, although I managed to draw a chart adequate to trade from.
This rout is unbelievable
Here were 40 fast pips this afternoon
Have a good one folks

132 pips, what a lovely boost to start the month
I hope many of us can catch many of these in May!

Re: Ray's amnesty page
I've got a very intermittent price feed this morning, on wifi, indeed I was glad to be able to see data on an iphone because m1 does rather demand for me that I know what is going on every few seconds.
After a bit of whip around LO it seemed the sellers came out for Dax. I decided that if I saw 50 pips I would take them, which I very nearly managed on this one, I might have got them more accurately for setting a proper TP
PS Sadly on this one it was not for my personal gain.

Re: Ray's amnesty page
The market has been kind to me this week, eg Dax +239 pips at a PF of 2.1, 44 tries, each trade yielded getting on towards 1% at that.
Best winner 73 pips, worst loser 46 which was almost entirely human error on my part, although I can partly blame poor IT as I have had lumpy internet service this week for reasons not yet identified.
I also traded a fair bit of EurJpy, and EurAud just to keep up some experience with currencies, thankfully that all paid off too.
Have a good weekend folks.

I don't know where anyone else might have found action worth getting in on today while much of Europe was on bank holiday.

65 pips. Acceptable result. Aims s1 principles. I might have been a minute or two late getting in and getting out too, but it made up for Monday

Re: Ray's amnesty page
A brilliant day for me 152 pips on Dax and 13 on EurJpy
Just to put the foregoing trade into context, it was preceded by my worst trade of the day (-19.2) when I tried a long, which I thought was entered for valid reasons. On losing I immediately reversed my position and made the amazing recovery of +65. I believe the ability to discard all loyalty to a situation and to be flexible enough to go the other direction straight away can be key to this malarkey.
I took on board the potential value of doing that from a Jack Schwager video which I have posted on here before (at Youtube) but alas it has recently been taken down (not for the first time) due to copyright claims.

Re: Ray's amnesty page
My best and my worst trades of the day as per these 2 charts. (the second trade reversed immediately I went in long! Any case I then went short and recovered that loss.)
+123 points dax, 42 pips on gold, and a bit more on currencies.
Everything seemed to move nicely, but not a lot on Dax in the pm session
FTSE100 looks like breaching support which is at around 6040 on higher time frames.
"Sell in May and go away" they say! (NB this is not financial advice)

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Chaos seems an appropriate word
Dax: Absolutely no fortune teller (that's what I call people who write on various other blogs about trading) predicted this. So many drew their trend lines and forecast a further decline today, but wow. We must have come up 150 pips from the bottom already.
Just shows how you need to be adaptable
I'm in long at the moment but haven't decided the best exit strategy. Watching candle by candle due to news and Eurofin and everything else which stokes up the market

Re: Ray's amnesty page
A lucky exit on Gold this morning, waited an hour for this result
I think caution is required ahead of the chaos-producing statistics due in 4 hours.
