MichaelC1234 Journal
Hi all , This is my journal , I have now completed my Trading Plan , Daily Mantra and Desire statement , The only thing now was the discipline to create a journal , Since joining this site , The positivity and assistance shown has really helped me focus on becoming a true trader. For two years I have meant to do all the above. It now feels like a real business with plans and accountability. I will post all trades on here and look forward to all the help and comments. Did not take any trades today despite the big drop , I just could not see a correct entry set up.
I am attatching a chart , not for any trades , but just so I know I can do it correctly.
A great 2012 to all
Michael

Re: MichaelC1234 Journal
HI Michael!
That was a nice trade, as you mentioned there was no fresh cross on AO and the AIMS Levels were a bit high for us. Just before this when we had the blue dot, we did see an aims level there and took the trade which ended up as a rent but what's a rent when its only 5 or 2 pips? its the cost of trading!
Rinse and Repeat!

Re: MichaelC1234 Journal
Missed the 3% earlier set up , which was annoying as at the screen and lost concentration and started answering emails. Took a later trade , More of a lease payment than a small rent as after been triggered had no time to move stop and next bar pushed so quickly so out at full aims level plus some slippage. Looking through the earlier trades it really shows the power of the system . Guess just not my day today

Re: MichaelC1234 Journal
Not a good start to the week , 3 trades -21
Trade 1 -10 Any comments welcome
Trade 2 Exit as price stalled -1 .Top Limit of Aims box
Trade 3 -10 Price hit 15 min high and reversed. In hindsight AO level not brilliant.
Think I need to get to -4 quicker, Not an easy morning

Re: MichaelC1234 Journal
Hi Michael,
Looking at your chart I have a couple of comments…
Trade 1:
Dot candle broke AIMS so a new fresh aims low was needed. It appeared on the next candle and a PO under that level was never triggered thus saving that rent
Trade 2
A good entry. I took the same trade and moved my SL down to the high of the of the down pin bar 5 candles after your entry triggered. It got tagged by a pips or so for a rent of -4
Trade 3 :
You have said it yourself, the AO was old/stale for me so that meant no trade…
Hope this helps
Grant

I thought I'll add my input on the exits since that is very important, of course more important than the entries itself. The first and the last trade could have been smaller rents. First one, if you followed Grants Trade Management , lets suppose you did, you would have brought your SL 3 pips above the trigger candle thus reducing rent from 10 to may be 6 or 7 likewise the third trade.
Nice work there! Keeping a journal is a great learning tool. Keep it up! cheers

Re: MichaelC1234 Journal
My first trade of the day did not journal , as on my platform I set a sell order and not a buy , Got out -3 pips ,
2nd Trade as posted , I think everything was perfect , The AO was at zero , looked to be a wave 5 Set target for 5 min high , a great stress free trade for 13 pips
