Tristan's Journal

Unread post by Flexo »

Hello Everybody,

I have decided it is about time that I start with my journal and use the T20 principle. About 4 weeks ago I joined AIMS and the Skype group. I have been trading, or should I say trying to trade, for about 3 years now. Like many of you I have played around with a lot of different systems, but I was failing in consistency.
What I have learned on AIMS so far looks promising and has made me think about my approach. The Skype group is helping a lot as well and I would definitely recommend it to anyone, there are a lot af knowledgable people in there, which are really helpful.

I will start my T20 with The Hunt.
I will generally trade LO for 2 hours and when possible NEO for 3 hours.
Daily SL= 3 losses.
Daily profits= 3 wins.

At 1:1 I move SL to BE
At 2:1 Position is closed

I took my first trade on The Hunt Today.

Trade 1/1

Entry: Cherry
Result: 2R
DS0

Remark about campaign
I waited for a good pullback from the new peak, then we got a nice Cherry signal coming right of the channel. Although it made 2R it is a DS0 as I entered at 12:01, my trading plan states that I will only trade LO from 10:00-12:00.

Trade 2/1

Entry: Seed
Result: -1R
DS0

Remark about campaign
Seed was inside the gator, so it is not a valid signal.

Hi Tristan. You are trading moving market and it's a good thing. Profits are in the moving markets. Keep it going, crank up the discipline score and find your path to consistent results. Have fun!

A correction is usually abc fashion, like the mask of zoro or the comic hero Flash type sign. allow yourself 2 attempts if necessary. For example here after you paid your rent, there was another cherry short that actually caught the next wave 5 move. Well done on your trade and agreed with @Tomi... cheers

moreover, you can at times take some cherries or seeds depending on the situation even if they are inside gator but that does not apply to your case if you are just attempting to do your first 5 batches of T20. Your rules should be simple clear and objective. And if your rule says no trade inside the gator, then no trade is DS1 and Trade is DS0, regardless of the quality of the signal and the overall profitability. Those are secondary to your prime objective which is Discipline.

having said that, if you'd like to exercise the rule of no trades inside the gator, then let me suggest to you the settings for that in our Awsome Hunt indicators. Turn the option Gator Filter on, in both AIMS The Hunt - Seed and Cherry entry signal indicator and then put 5 and 3 in the next two field. 5 is the 5 smooth moving average and 3 is for shift of 3 bars into the future, that is the Green line of Gator.

cheers hope this helps

Thank you for your clear explanation and advice Immy. I didn't realize there was a filter setting for that, so I will be testing that from tomorrow on.
