Re: Thomas's journal [trading Fruit on H1]
Looks good chap. You are letting the trades run and it's an excellent approach. Slightly aggressive add-ons in some cases (to my taste) but it's just an opinion. Keep going with your approach!

Re: Thomas's journal [trading Fruit on H1]
Trade campaign 12/3
Summary
Summary
- Entry : Box breakout + Box Add-On + Box Add-On + Box Add-On
Risk: 26 P + 30.5 P + 35.1 P + 45.2 P
Exit: Candle trail
Result: 53.7 P + 42.1 P + 37.4 P + 9.4 P = 142.6 P, 2.07 R + 1.38 R + 1.06 R + 0.21 R = 4.72 R
DS: 0
- Pre-trade remarks:
- Alligator on H1 is sleeping.
- Box on H1 became smaller the last few hours and is quite tight right now.
- Price on H1 is in a sideway movement, forming a possible Wave 4 down.
- eWaves on H1 indicates a completed Wave 3 up and crossed its ZL. Also good signs for a Wave 4 down.
- Alligator on H4 is open to the upside.
- Price on H4 is in a Wave 5 up. It completed Wave C of Wave 4 on 04.08.2016 12:00, which started at 06.07.2016 4:00, formed Wave 1 and Wave 2 of Wave 5 and is now going into Wave 3 of Wave 5.
- eWaves on H4 indicates a finished Wave 3 up some time ago. With bars being around ZL since then, my Wave count gets support.
- Alligator on D1 is open to the upside.
- Price on D1 is in a Wave 3 up, with a possible end at around 0.8885. It finished Wave 4 of Wave 3 and now is going into Wave 5 of Wave 3.
- Aim is to hit a possible Wave 5 up, as the TZ1 is around 0.85685, which offers a Reward to Risk of ~ 3:1 for the initial entry (Box breakout).
- Post-trade remarks:
- Trailing Boxes was started at Vertical Line (1). A bit premature, I was lucky to not get kicked out of the campaign early.
- The first Add-On was a Box Add-On placed at Horizontal Line (1), which was also an upper AIMS-Level on H4 at that time (Reward:Risk of ~ 2:1).
- The second Add-On was a Box Add-On, placed above the supposed end of Wave 2 of Wave 5 up (Reward:Risk of ~ 2:1). I didn't take any earlier Add-On possibilities, as I wanted Price to break that Level, first, to "confirm" Wave 3 of Wave 5.
- The third Add-On was a Box-Add-On (Reward:Risk of ~ 1:1). As R:R was not that good, this one could have been avoided. For the same reason, I didn't take any further Add-Ons.
- As TZ1 was near, I decided to trail Candles at Vertical Line (2) (DS = 0). One Bar later, a Fruit appeared and indicated the possible end of Wave 5.

I think the same about my Add-Ons being a bit aggressive sometimes - after taking them

There's a thin line between letting trades run and giving back profits unnecessarily. In future, I hope to be able to judge better what is when appropraite.

Re: Thomas's journal [trading Fruit on H1]
Short update: I quit trading Fruit.
Why? While being on trading vacation, I stumbled across The Hunt and immediately loved the concept behind.
Being curious, I read all I could find about it and decided to implement it as soon as possible.
I'm not happy with the fact, that this happened amidst a Fruit's T20, but so be it.
After all, I re-wrote my Trading Plan and am going to start now with five batches of T20, using The Setup.

Re: Thomas's journal [trading The Hunt on H1]
all the best... we will be there (skype) and here to support you
................. I'm at stage 3 (I tend to think) so I trade Fruits off the same template ... its just another way of "entering" the markets that I think are ready for something... But I agree, its best to go for what gives you the Goose Bumps...
I think the fruit is a great strategy but its not easy to trade for everyone specially when you burden yourself with too many add ons. Junt however is much "easier" relatively, to trade. Trend following breakout trades are THE BEST ,,, my bread and butter on ANY time frame...

Trading is a pattern recognition game. As traders we make decisions in an uncertain environment. Anything can happen. We trade the setups with the highest probility and reflect on our trades in samplesizes of 20. It is our job to keep our mind(s) focused, relaxed, enjoyed and to trust ourself in the proces of staying diciplined to our trading plan. We plan our trade and then trade our plan.

Hey Argan thanks for that but I think its more of a "visual" thing. The angle lines are already "the gator lines" and the price... hope it makes sense.
