Hi Thomas

You've used this method to your advantage. I have no reservation in saying that you are on your way to consistent profitability. All you gotta do is continue doing the way you are doing and don't change a thing. This was a smashing breakout trade with a good add on. 10R outcome is really great.

This is the reward of patience and discipline. Trading surely is hard work, but it does not have to be harder than it already is. So we keep it simple. You did exactly that.

Well done mate

Hey Arjan.
Thank you for pointing this indicator out. It does exactly what I was doing manually.
I'll keep it in mind in case I add Fruit to my Trading Plan, again.

Summary
  • Pair: GBP/USD
    Entry: Setup 2 + Box Add-On
    Risk: 55.4 P + 45.8 P
    Exit: Candle trail
    Result: 303.6 + 239.9 P = 543.5 P, 5.48 R + 5.24 R = 10.72 R
    DS: 1
About the campaign
  • Pre-trade remarks:
    • H1, VL (1): Setup 2 into Wave 5 down
    • H1, VL (5): TZ1
    • H4, VL (1): Price within Wave 3 down
  • Post-trade remarks:
    • H1, HL (2): PO below the low of previous Wave 3 down with SL at HL (1)
    • H1, HL (4): Box Add-On with SL at HL (3) (predicted new upper AIMS-Level)
    • H1, VL (2): Switched from Box trail to Candle trail
    • H1, VL (3): Flashcrash during Asian Session

Great add on trade sure it was extremely profitable. (wd)
Thank you.
I'm using the "Reverse Pyramiding Technique" out of The Setup ebook.
With the first trade, I risked 0.5 % of my balance and 1 % with the second one.
So, I'd call this campaing definitely profitable, yes :) .

Trading is a pattern recognition game. As traders we make decisions in an uncertain environment. Anything can happen. We trade the setups with the highest probility and reflect on our trades in samplesizes of 20. It is our job to keep our mind(s) focused, relaxed, enjoyed and to trust ourself in the proces of staying diciplined to our trading plan. We plan our trade and then trade our plan.

Trade campaign 2/1

Summary
  • Pair: GBP/USD
    Entry: Setup 1 + Box Add-On (Setup 1) + Box Add-On + Box Add-On
    Risk: 62.3 P + 80.9 P + 72.4 P + 52.8 P
    Exit: Box trail
    Result: 71.8 + 52.6 P - 10.9 P - 36.3 P = 77.2 P, 1.15 R + 0.65 R - 0.15 R - 0.69 = 0.96 R
    DS: 1
About the campaign
  • Pre-trade remarks:
    • H1, VL (1): Setup 1 into Wave 5 down (but minimum requirements for a Wave 4 up not fulfilled, yet).
    • H1, HL (4): TZ1
    • H4, VL (1): Price within Wave 3 down.
  • Post-trade remarks:
    • H1, HL (1): Add-On spot ignored, as Box low was too close to initial entry and first Add-On.
    • H1, HL (2): Add-On spot missed, as it appeared within the Asian Session.
    • H1, VL (2): Exit signal ignored, as initial Stop Loss was near, too. Kept Box trail.
    • H1, HL (3): Second and third Add-On were a bit aggressive, as H4 low was near. But, with prospect of a long way untill TZ1, still reasonable.
    • A quick view on M15 (Price going into Wave 4 up there) could have saved me from this early exit. Accordingly, close on Red Line would have been the better choice.

About the campaign

    • H1, VL (1): Setup 1 into Wave 5 up
    • H1, VL (2): Predicted new lower AIMS-Level below the Candle at H1, VL (1).
    • H1, HL (1): TZ1
    • H1, HL (2): TZ1 of H4
    • H4, VL (1): Price within Wave 5 up

Trade campaign 4/1

Summary
  • Pair: USD/CAD
    Entry: Setup 1
    Risk: 49.9 P
    Exit: Initial SL
    Result: -51.6 P, -1.03 R
    DS: 0
About the campaign
  • Pre-trade remarks:
    • H1, VL (1): Setup 1 into Wave 5 down
    • H1, HL (2): TZ1
    • AIMS Box a bit tall. But, with TZ1 being more than 2 R away, still okay.
    • H4, VL (1): No Wave indicated on eWaves. However, Price possibly within a new Wave 3 down.
  • Post-trade remarks:
    • H1, HL(1): Avoided this Add-On, as there were too many levels to the left on H4.
    • H1, VL (2): Didn't watch out for CAD High Impact News. Taking these into account, this campaign should have been avoided.
    • H1, VL (3): Missed to move SL above this Candle with Black Dot [DS = 0].
    • H1, HL (3): Didn't watch out for this BRN.

You should have had a mechanism to take some profits or bring SL to BE.. as it moved considerably in your favour before turning around. NEXT

Absolutely.
I'm thinking of taking half off, when 1 R is reached.
But, how can I handle one or even multiple Add-Ons with this technique?
Doing the same for each entry of the campaing separately?
