Re: Terry's journey
Stage 1 DS Setup 1 Rules
On CTF 15m look at eWave: I need a wave 3, flat 4, and then S1 into W5 – from W4 on dark bars and close to zero line.
H1 gator must be open and in a W3 or W5
Stop loss at R1
Take profit at R2
Move stop loss to BE at R1 profit.
Level to the left must be at least R1 to secure a BE if price reverses.
Take Setup1 Signals going into TZ1 (Use The Setup Flow Chart)

Re: Terry's journey
This week I thought it best to watch my 4 pairs on the H1 t/f, in line with most traders in the chat.
So there was not a single perfect entry from FO to Lon close all week. There were a few, but with boxes too big or a green dot.
I feel if I am too remain focused I shall have to commit to S1 on whichever tf presents itself.
I know this week was FOMC week which is invariably a difficult one to trade.
Would like to hear comments please on different tf's for DS on S1 for my four pairs please...

Re: Terry's journey
And so the markets cloded on Friday, and I realised USDJPY was setting up for a possible s1. So I decided to stay up on Sunday night to place my entry when market opened again.
I realised the purple line was in fact in the box, but through the bottom of the box and so with the 'bigger picture' S1 in mind, took the trade.
At the time of entry eWave was a nice 3-4 into 5 setup.
T20 campaign: 1/1
DS 1: 1/20

Re: Terry's journey
Good try but keep in mind purple went inside box and that lowers the probability, ideally the S1 has a tight box with purple outside of it, keep it up tho!

Re: Terry's journey
After supper I had a quick look and found M5 UJ chart in an uptrend , just completed W4 and looking to move into w5.
The chart was more 'compressed' at the time I took the trade and that 3pip gap at entry was not as pronounced as it now looks.
Trade/campaign: 2/1
DS1: 2/2

Re: Terry's journey
Hi Terrene
I'd like to make quick few points.
1. Do you have detailed trading plan , documented that controls your behaviour?
2. If that is a yes, I hope, then do you have it in your plan to take trades on both h1 and m5 or any time frame yo u find? If you've allowed yourself to trade multiple charts on multiple time frame? if yes, then in order to create an edge , you'd need to run a barrage of permutations and combinations to find out how the edge would play out in your favour. There are way too many factors. e.g. if you trade the m5 chart, you have to take majority of its setups for the edge to show itself.
3. If this trade was taken on m5, then by the rules , you have ignore a dozen exit signals.
Hope it makes a little bit of sense.
cheers

Re: Terry's journey
Thanks Immy, yes I have been digressing somewhat.
The thing is I am finding S1 to be the most critical of all entries, and on a H1 chart on 4 pairs it is frustrating to watch the S2's go floating past.
Anyhow i have amended my TP and will be trading S1 on H1 only. I have increased the number of pairs as I have plenty of screen space with my 4 large screens.

WTI set up nicely pre LO, so was able to put my pending order in time.
W3 with small W4 and traded into W5 and TZ1
