Vicky's Journals

Unread post by vickyp »

My trading journey started in 2013, since then there has been, many hours, long nights, heaps of learning, evolving and many losses to date. Thanks to Jasmien and Chris B I have found my way to AIMS on the 30th August 2017.

So far I have read the welcome and setup ebooks, and watched the videos. Printed the 3 rule flow chart and Consistently successful trading sheets.
I have set up my charts in MT4 to AIMS template, (thanks Jasmien for helping with the last puzzle piece!)

Journaling and consistant records of trades taken, charts etc is my weakness, so I am thankful for this section.

Now for my next trading step, my AIMS journey starts ........

Hey Vicky Welcome to AIMS Stress Free Trading (chaos)

I'm glad that you've found us through friends. Always Love that. Now lets start recording those 5 Batches of T20. One trade at a time. I hope you have or will take 2-3 weeks time to work on your trading plan. Really take it seriously and answer those questions.

This could be the best thing you've ever done for your consistent trading success. A lot of the people spend a lot of their time trying to KNOW THE MARKET, GATHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE MARKET AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE , based on the belief that the more you know about the market the better you will trade.

Unfortunately they don't spend even the least amount of time on the more important aspect that contribute far greater towards consistent trading success. And that is simply Knowing yourself. And I'm not talking about some cult esoteric term, a secret method nobody knows.Nope... Its a simple "conscious decision" to focus on knowing about YOU.

And by that I mean, knowing the Internal Structure of your brain. I believe we know ourselves because we are conscious beings and consciousness happens in your brain not in your thumb. If you know how your brain works, you'll be able to know how your thoughts work, and if you know how your thoughts work you'll be able to figure out how your @belief system works and how beliefs are formed and so you'll find out about YOU and your belief system.

You might also find some of your beliefs might be in direct contradiction with the market and in turn your trading success. And when we see those colliding forces, we feel it in our brains and the brain sends out those non verbal signals through our body... those we call emotions ... Emotions may be used as guiding system. If you feel stressed and you are conscious about it. You can do something to Un-stress yourself. E.g. a simple remedy to "modify the states of your brain" is to simply be conscious in that moment. And that can be achieved by a very simple act. Don't Try to relax. LOL... just do this. start taking deep slow rhythmic breathing in and out. ideally 5 sec in and 5 sec out. Do this for 2 min tops. Thats it. Scientifically proven to bring your brain in to a a state that is called the Coherent state. Your body will be relaxed as a result without even you trying.

oh well... I'm off on a tangent again ...

i wish you all the best ... I'll be keenly watching ...

Hey Vicky.

Well done starting your journal, yep I get that it has been a weakness of mine as well which has changed here now.

Best part is once you start adding up your batches you can review your own trades and see what has worked best for you and how you felt etc.

I tend to put my trades straight into the journal once they get triggered that is my main aim on most days but yes get lazy sometimes as well.

I call it my 5 second rule, breathing is something I've become quite conscious of the last 12+ month as I get easily stressed..But you're a super mum so you'll be just fine. I will continue checking your journal and help out.

All the best darling.

Thanks Immy and Jasmien.
Immy I have a trading plan, which has been revised a few times now. My plan is to review again now I am part of AIMS.

A trading mentor of mine, advised me some time ago to subscribe to brain training and mediation. I do the brain training on a daily bases, it is suprising how much it strengths your mind and coordination. I am getting better at the mediation but this is a work in progress and I do find as Jasmien said the breathing good for unwinding.

Thanks again for the support

First trade update

Unread post by vickyp »

UJ was inconclusive, due to my demo account being closed automatically after a month by the broker.
At this point it would still be running at the full risk of 1R, as it hadn't made it to 1R to move to break even.
