DS1
Didn’t take a screen shot of the close, and can’t see back that far on M1 now. My statement is showing the trade got to BE. I think it’s an S1, only concern is that there had already been a S1 just prior.
I'll comment one by one if I could. Sorry to mess your journal.

This one shows , as you pointed out, as Setup 1 had already happened Ideally when TZ1 has been hit, the OBJECTIVE of Setup1 has already been achieved. its an important point. The Setup 1 literally saying, "hey price might go towards TZ1, you can enter if it breaks above this box" ... it did that already...

DS 0 because taken on a green dot.

12/20

DS 0 because purple in box.

13/20

DS 0. Purple in box and no wave count.
Its great that you've posted the charts with M5 picture as well. You can see why the purple rule is there for. What it shows you. You can see that while the count on m5 was good and desirable , the m1 and m5 was inside a wave 4. Both trade 11 and 12 long were inside a wave 4 of m5. Trade 13, is a great example of Stage 3 , taking setup 0 based on such wave count analysis. Rightly marked as DS0 for Stage 1-2. Setup 0 can be used but requires more experience. Nice trading

I can say one thing. You UNDERSTAND Setup 1. Now all you have to do is TRADE SETUP ! ... until it stops working (which has not stopped in the past 100 years of data that we have)

Hi Immy,

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my trades. I always learn a lot when I read your comments. As a novice it’s really helpful to be reminded of what it is I’m seeing (or more precisely not seeing) on a chart. Learning to read the chart is a real skill. You make it sound so easy when you say, trade the setup, I seem to get in the way of myself!

DAX M1 – Batch 5 - 3/20

20180710 – Trade 1 (box 158 points)

DS 0 because purple line in the box (which I knew, but I thought the trend was down), was so excited to see the red dot that I didn’t even really notice that the gator wasn’t shut.

DAX M1 – Batch 5 - 4/20

20180710 – Trade 2 (box 139 points)

DS 1. I think it was okay for a S1 on the M1 chart. I was concerned about the previous highs on the M5 chart just after the market open.

DAX M1 – Batch 5 - 5/20

20180710 – Trade 3 (box 201 points)

DS 1. I think it was okay for a S1 on the M1 chart. Again, I was concerned about the previous highs on the M5 chart just after the market open, but I thought if it could break through that then it might at least get to be. Got lucky I think.

The Curse of the shorter time frame. Excitement , fear of missing out and greed of letting go for profits, all these culminate within minutes and "forces" you to take action even when you didn't really have to.

This was not a setup 1 per rules. Box was big and purple was in the box.

Also notice that the wave 4 up broke out of the box , before this break. and its at that first or 2nd break, that ends the W4 is where we want the gator to be tightly sleeping inside the box and purple outside of it.

Oh well NEXT :dog
