Hi Jasmien,

I'm new here. I'm learning the Setup 1 strategy and I've been looking at your setups. You've been a wonderful inspiration.

About EURJPY trade you just took, wasn't the Alligator awake the time the red dot appeared? If so, shouldn't we have waited for a new AIM box level before entering the trade there? I'm just using Grant's flowchart for reference. Perhaps there is an interpretation of the chart that I'm not aware of.

Welcome to Aims. Thanks for reading my Journal.

You are right the gator was not sleeping it kinda started sleeping and box was too big as well, not sure if you are on Live Slack chat room but I bunch of us took the trade so I followed the crowd lol, however H4 had a lovely short pattern which I liked plus a hunt signals (which I use for confluence) so I was prepared to take the risk and move SL at next box level a day later which BTW I never got to do it, ATM had moved my SL to BE and that was it.

Once you start taking setup 1's, you quickly realize once you see a wave 3 & 4 on chart and the purple is just above box you'll be itching to jump in.

If gator is sleeping or just slightly inter winded was the hardest thing for me at the beginning so I understand where you are coming from. Most importantly if you didn't get in at red dot we also had an opportunity to get in on the 15th of August candle time 11:00, a red dot lovely sleeping gator, ewave was going into a predictive wave 5 (ewave close to zero line) and the best part is on H4 (the higher time frame) we had an awesome cherry at 4:00 candle time, so confluence was short independently of outcome. But again you are right we all went in slightly premature, and a better signal to me as per trading plan would have been the next day on the 15th.

If you could consider joining at on Slack it would be great, we learn there heaps there and analysis pairs everyday, and more importantly we there in the moment of decision making which has helped me immensely
