You must keep going...
What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".

I am guessing the answer to "how long can you last" is ..... until it's over!
I still have funds from my initial starting capital so lets hope for the bounce soon.
Thanks to you, Jasmien and AIMsters for the continued support and encouragement to keep going.

Re: Vicky's Journals
You're at where most traders give up and change what they think is wrong with their system.
You make through this, you'll come out in the top 5% of traders.
Don't give up!

18/10/18
Batch 5
Trade 17
EJ H4 Short
Cherry, I got the S1 signal, but didn't take it as the box was too big for a 2R to TZ line, then the cherry appeared.
With my history of cherry for this batch, I rose above the thought of another lose, took it with a smaller half R risk, and it worked. Yippee!
Lets hope this is the come back I was waiting for.....
End result was +1R
R result to date for this batch: -9R (wahoo, single digit lose)
DS score for batch: 16/17 (to be reviewed at the end, some cherries not correct entry)
Overall total R score: (all batches) +15R

Re: Vicky's Journals
Vicky, you are having the perfect training here. You know that you are in "stage 2" 5 batches of trading. The very fact that you are worried about winning or losing trades says it all. You still need more training. You have to reduce the number of trades you take. Remove Cherry/Hunt signals from trade plan. Take the Best Setup 1/2 only. and Don't focus on winner or losing trades. Your job is DS1... that's all.
DO NOT reduce risk per trade. if you do that it will take you longer to recover from drawdowns. CARDINAL rule is for all 10 batches of trades, risk per trade must NEVER change.
remember you are training yourself ot later present yourself to yourself as a trader who will manager your capital and grow it for you.

Re: Vicky's Journals
Hi Immy
Thank you for your post.
Going forward I will stick to just S1 and S2 as suggested, and not reduce risk. (going back to the basics)
I read your reply on Slack, re my swissy trade that is still running as well, and have replied.
Vicky

So I need to be patient with this apprenticeship? The money will flow once the skill is mastered?remember you are training yourself to later present yourself to yourself as a trader who will manager your capital and grow it for you.

Re: Vicky's Journals
Note posted from Immy on Slack for future reference .....
when they said, "the market crashed" that all the stocks were going to be demolished... seasoned traders/investeres saw it as a "correction" in the grand scheme of things. the 2008 crash was severe. it destroyed some big funds etc. some banks and huge companies almost went bankrupt. the looters looted and got rewarded for looting but the point is, if you look at a monthly chart now. the crash is simply a BIG correction on the monthly chart.@Vicky the drawdown in your account is a correction. Growth is NEVER linear.
if you plot a hypothetical chart of your performance and growth of your account this draw down period will look like a spike down followed by sustained period of growth, and the nprobably somewhere down the line some more little spikes down followed by more growth.
WE can always contain the down side. we have limits over it. What is interesting is, that in stage 3, you will NEVER experience a draw down like this.
because your TRade and risk managment will be more sophisticated.
this is just training phase designed for pain and pleasure experience.
Only brave people like yourselves have made it this far. Many macho men have tried and long given up, because they can't take the pain. they are not patient they want instant lotto draw.
