Plan for Batch 2 Stage 2 - THE HUNT METHO

Unread post by Moderator »

The Plan for The Next Batch is to Trade The Hunt Method

What Template will I use?

I will use the HUNT Method Template

How will I Enter The Market?
1. The Setup (Looking for Wave 5's Hitting Target Zone 1)
I will make sure that the Trade is roughly in line with H4 time frame. e.g. within a New 3 on H4 or within a Wave 5. (a double setup 1)

2. The Hunt Signals (Seed/Cherry) Looking for TZ1 on M15 but using Signal on H1
SEED Signal on H1: I will always make sure its The Setup pattern on the M15 or preferably a setup 1 so I can work towards TZ1.
CHERRY Signal on H1: I will look for an Apple type of Setup on M15. I will see if its a zig zaggy wave 4 or flat wave 4 on the m15.

2.1 Will I take Setups on the M15 chart. I agree here that taking the Hunt Signal on H1 or Setup 1 on M15 will lead to the same trade. It does not matter if its taken on m15 or H1. The trade will only be taken if both time frames agree.

3. The Apple, Looking for TZ1 and Add on on box break.
I will look for Hunt pattern on H4 but more importantly the setup pattern should be there. Apples will be more interesting if the Wave 4 is a zig zag abc pullback. IF the wave 4 is sideways tight boxes, I will rather wait for Setup 1 box breakout.

Will I add on to my positions?
Yes, I will replicate the Fruit Method Risk Management. I like to keep drawdowns as low as possible which is where Fruit Method shines. I understand that by splittling positions and scaling in I can keep drawdowns as low as possibel.

What is my Max Drawdown Limit?
I will Stop and reassess if I have a max 3% drawdown.

How will I manage Risk per trade?
I want to Risk only 1% of my account and that I will do that by splitting position as below

1. The Setup 1/2: Enter half risk I.e. 0.25% at first box break and 0.25% at the box to the left or new box.
2. Hunt : I will take Half Risk Entry and close half at 1:1. Target at TZ1
3. Apple: I will take Quarter Risk Entry, then half at box and anotehr quarter if there is anotehr box or hunt signal.

When will I move Stop Loss after Entry is Triggered?
I will move Stop Loss to a better suitable position when the following happens for the respective type of entry.

1. Setup: I will move Stop Loss immediately to high/low of Trigger Candle. I will move Stop loss to Break Even at 1R. And then tail box until 2R or Target set near TZ1 is hit.
2. Hunt Signals: I will Move SL to BE at 1R. and Let it hit 2R. (May be in the Next Batch I'd like to try selling half at 1R and letting it run)
3. Apple: I will trade this exactly like Fruit method. So I will trail boxes only. And trail only once Gator is open.

What is my Goal of this Batch in terms of Discipline Score.

My Goal is to maintain at least 80% discipline score. Which means I have a margin of only 4 DS0 Trades out of 20.

What are the Types of Setup I Look for?
I will be looking for the Following type of setups.
I have observed that the Setup 1 on H1 can occur in 3-4 and 5 Day patterns.
When I say a 3 Day Pattern , it means signal will be on the 3rd day of the pattern and 4 day means on the 4th day and obviously 5 day pattern means signal will be on the 5th day.

What is A 3 Day Setup:
In this type of signal you will see a wave 3 lasts 1 day followed by a day or half of w4. Day 3 is signal that leads you into Wave 5 hitting TZ1.

Examples:
3 day setup 1.png
a 3 Day setup.png
a 3 Day Setup 1.png
A 3 Day Setup with Apple - No Zig Zag
3 Day Setup with Apple no zig zag.png
A 3 Day Setup with Apple
A 3 Day Setup - Apple.png
A 3 Day Setup 2
a 3 Day setup 2.png
A 4 Day Setup and a Cherry Here 2 days of Wave 3 followed by a sideways boxed day of Wave 4 that leads to Burst out in to wave 5 on the 4th day.
4 Day Setup 2 and W3 Cherry.png
And the Maximum Days is 5 Days Setup
In this type of pattern you will see 3 days of Wave 3, a day of Wave 4 and 5th day becomes a setup.

Which Markets will I trade?

I have chosen to trade 10 forex pairs. The following 10 pairs should cover the entire forex market.

I will Take Setup 1/2 on All 10 Pairs however, Hunt Signals will be taken on the first 4 pairs listed below. (maybe GY sometimes)

1. EUR/USD
2. GBP/USD
3. EUR/JPY
4. USD/JPY
5. GBP/JPY
6. AUD/USD
7. NZD/USD
8. USD/CHF
9. USD/CAD
10. EUR/GBP
