Lionel Journal

Unread post by lion8048 »

Hello ,
I am Lionel 36 years old I am from belgium and I do not speak English well I help me here from google translator :D
I am very interested by the AIMS method which is not so complicated and remains simple in its sets.
I am interested in trading for a very long time and I have studied several methods. I know a lot in this area but I have not yet started in real life account. I hope to learn a lot from the AIMS method from Bill Williams, who is an excellent trader and learns the discipline to succeed.
I will soon post the trades that I would have taken to know your opinion :thumbs

my plan :
Time frames: M15 M5 M1 (major pairs m1 only)
Strategy: Aims setup 1, setup 2
Trading only during USA open session as I work in the morning.
I will take a trade only when HTF superior (Gator open) is in a clear direction in trend.
For the money management I would take only 1% risk per trade to try to have a risk ratio of 1: 2 (tz1)
Stop loss place on the other side of level aims box or green line if too far.
Profit taking only at tz1

First position taken GBP / CAD on 02/01/2019 16h50
Chart M1
setup 1
Risk 1% reward 2%
Nice wave 3 then crossed the zero line on ao (wave 4 confirmed) then a red dot with alligator asleep in a tight box (setup 1). Qualified on M5 by a cherry signal (image).
Stoploss above hopes box and waiting order trigger soon after .. then a green candle came to touch my stop loss and went back to the goal tz1 and turned into a new wave 3.
Result -1R
DS = 1
reflection: I should have put my stop loss closer to the entrance. Following.

Hey

Welcome to AIMS and congratulations on starting your journal and recording your T20 Batch.

Its a Good Trade you took Well done. DS1 .. that's what we want

But note that immediately afterwards there another Setup1. We always take at least 2 attempts, not more than 3 attempts to catch a Valid Setup. in this case, you should have taken Trade 2. Setup 1 Again. and that would have done the trick. NEXT NEXT NEXT just keep scoring those DS1 Trades

The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".

I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.

I just noticed GBPCAD
I don't think that's the pair you want to trade on M1. oh no

Best to stick to major pairs. No crosses (spread are high and ranges are low)

Thank you Immy for your advice ;)
It is true that on the M1 it is better to take the major pairs because the spread is smaller too.
I add this in my plan for M1 and also 2 attempts to trade.

second position on GBP / USD on 04/01/2019
Chart M1
Setup 2
R / R = 1: 2
I saw a nice wave 3 followed by a tight goal box with all the lines of the alligator inside. All the rules of the setup 2 present and the TZ1 was very far from the entry (1: 2 risk). There was also a seed signal on M5, so I took this trade. Unfortunately the price has not been up to tz ..
Result = -1R
DS = 1

Third position GBP / USD on 07/01/2019 16h40
Chart M1
configuration 1
Risk 1% reward 2%
Nice wave 3 then crossed the ao zero line (wave 4 confirmed) then a blue dot with the alligator asleep in a very tight box (configuration 1). Qualified on M5 by a signal seed.
Stoploss below the AIMS box and waiting for the waiting order is triggered directly ... After a few minutes a new wave 3 c is formed and the price has to start in a big range but has to touch the TZ1 before.
Result 2R
DS = 1

Nice Setup 1 on GU trade :) I see you're doing Fx on M1...interesting...We normally just trade the dax here on M1, I guess it can work on majors (spreadwise). It's great that you're recording all your trades as well :)

Yes the major pairs on M1 produce great opportunity when there is volatility like today for example. A lot of news on gbp usd and cad ...
The Dax is very interesting too .. ;)
