Re: Grants Journal
Hi Grant
How much room do you generally like to see between the M1 level and the M5 level to take a trade based on M1 level?
Thanks
Mike

Re: Grants Journal
Hi Grant, just going over your great spreadsheet analysis. Have a question about the second sheet (25 Jan, time 14:20UTC. I am going through the charts checking the dots you record, I see the same ones on my Alpari Micro charts. At 14:20 the 5 mins alligator is more or less closed, and below the purple line on the 5 mins chart, which I take as showing the the 5 mins is not really in an uptrend. Wondered how much you use the 5 mins to filter.
I'm finding I miss setups because I'm not actually watching closely enough, going to concentrate only on AIMS for the next week, been overwhelmed with overload of info from FMM and AIMS.
thanks, Richard

Re: Grants Journal
Morning Richard,
To answer the 1420 dot query, i only use the M5 purple line as a potential target point. So in this case there were 17 ish pips between the entry and that line so enough room for a decent RR on the trade. I also dont have the blue line of the alligator on my charts so at 1420 the red and green were open and just starting to show some daylight between them.
Also at the time of the entry the m1, m5 and m15 aims levels were all at the roughly the same place so it was a triple aims break.
So for the m5 chart in general i watch the m1 purple line and m5 aims levels very closely to tell me what it is doing. I also keep any eye on m5 AO to tell me where we may be in a wave cycle. So obviously if a potential entry on m1 presents itself and the m5 AO is just about to cross the line in the same direction then its a higher probability trade than if the m5 AO is peaking at the end of a 3rd wave.
Hope this helps
Grant
