Re: Step by Step Guide for V5 Installation
Hi Immy,
I got to install V5 yesterday, a very smooth one step process.
One quick question please, I have an H4 chart on my template and there is an M5 high/low lines on the chart. I don't want to bugger up the template which objects to I use to delete these two lines?
Many thanks,
Bruce H

Re: Step by Step Guide for V5 Installation
Hi Steve,
I copied and pasted the attached tpl file on top of the original and the lines are still there. I checked the objects in the H4 chart and they are all either; Hline with a number following and the last object is Hlineend.
The exception is the first object listed named: Fractal Fibo RetracementTF, is this the culprit object? Shown in screen shot.
Thanks,
Bruce H

Hi Bruce
You have found the correct thing to delete but the template I sent you should have been free of those lines. Did you delete your old charts and close MT4 before copying the new template into the folder?
Cheers

Hi Steve,
No I did not, I just pasted overtop of the old one. I'll try that first to verify your fix.

Re: Step by Step Guide for V5 Installation
Hi Steve,
My bad, entirely…. Your 1st attachment was correct, I opened it with a new chart and went to the higher time frames and zoomed minus and no M5 high/low lines that showed at all.
So the copy & paste over original file was a fix, I had opened a new profile with a new template that I had saved after downloading and setting up V5 yesterday.
Sorry for any confusion.
Thanks,
Bruce H

Re: Step by Step Guide for V5 Installation
Immy, looks like the template file attached with the installation program has the fibo object. Probably forgotten to remove before saving the template. It might be good to replace the original template with Steve's template as he had deleted those objects. This would remove future confusion.
Following is an extract of the template file using notepad. You'll notice the fibo object with the high and low.
<window>
height=100
<indicator>
name=main
<object>
type=10
object_name=Fractal Fibo RetracementnTF <=====
period_flags=0
create_time=1326921834
color=-1
style=2
weight=1
background=0
color2=25600
style2=0
weight2=1
time_0=1326925080
value_0=1.286080
time_1=1326924900
value_1=1.284630
levels_ray=1
level_0=0.0000
description_0=5 Min Low %$ <=====
level_1=1.0000
description_1=5 Min High %$ <=====
</object>
