Batch 1

Trade 04

HK50 M15 DS0 wrong

Saw cherry, gator open. But spread too large, and not in my plan as one of my pair.

End result was BE

R result to date for this batch: -3R

DS score for batch: 04/03

Overall total R score: (all batches) +24.8R

My Feelings and Analysis at the time of entry and afterwards: - Saw the cherry wanted to give it a go, went in at quarter risk, dropped to BE quickly. But no follow through.

What could I have done different: Not take it, not one of my pairs not in my new plan.

Batch 1

Trade 02

Usd/Jpy M15

Taken during NYO, W3 complete, wave at ZL and green just starting, waiting for W5.

End result was -1R

R result to date for this batch: -2R

DS score for batch: 02/02

Overall total R score: (all batches) +25.8R

My Feelings and Analysis at the time of entry and afterwards: - Good strong W3 had been, gator together, box little large, but purple correct. PO placed. Next morning showed out at -1R.

What could I have done different: Waited to see if a small box formed in my direction. Being NYO it is late here, and I can't stay up for too long.
Ok, it appears that you DO NOT understand the difference between Swing Trading time frames, which you were doing (h4/h1/d1) .. and the intraday Time frames H/M15/M5/M1... for M15 time frame ... YOU ARE SUPPOSED to trade ONLY during Busy Times... THAT IS FO ... you look for Trades at FO...
if you are from the east (you are since you are a Kiwi stuck is Australia lol) ... you cna look at the yen or Aussie or kiwi around wellington / tokyo open.. see if there is a good setup...

BUT this trade , you took around what is known is THE DEAD period... couple of hours near NYC... no good...

At 3 losses this is not a great start to this new batch of M15. However I did learn something this morning.
Immy suggestion - I looked at pairs that are in our time zone that open when I am available to trade.

Tokyo opens around the same time as us. (thanks Jim)

Missed this beauty this morning. But I have worked out the times and will change to Aud/Usd, Aud/Jpy and Usd/Jpy. Lets see what tomorrow morning brings before I head off to work.

Chart attached, big red, then if you wait for the pull back (doji) it would have done at least 2R.
What makes this a beauty?

Is it because it "moved" or is it because its was a perfect setup one?

I see no setup... do you?

I agree, I have learnt I need to be at times it is running, I have learnt this the hard way, with my start on M15.
This one, it was not a S1, but it was a waltz. it was also at the time the market opened and it ran.

Thanks for your help Immy, I am refining and learning.

Batch 1

Trade 05

Aud/Usd M15

Blue dot, large box but waited till it got closer to the top of the box, PO on

End result was BE

R result to date for this batch: -3R

DS score for batch: 05/04

Overall total R score: (all batches) +24.8R

My Feelings and Analysis at the time of entry and afterwards: - Large green wave, pull back, thought it was going into wave 5. Ended up being a wave 3. I took this in the morning before heading off to work. When I got home, my computer had turned off due to an update. Exit out manually near entry, as the move was over and it was headed down.

What could I have done different: There was not much I could do with not being here to check on the trade.

Batch 1

Trade 06

Nzd/Jpy M15

Missed the red dot first thing, but the purple was through the box so waited for the next signal. It took awhile to play out, then the cherry.

End result was =2R

R result to date for this batch: -1R

DS score for batch: 06/05

Overall total R score: (all batches) +26.8R

My Feelings and Analysis at the time of entry and afterwards: - When I got to see my charts this morning, the red dot had been and it was on the second candle out of the box. But purple was in the box, so not a S1 really. I watched and waited. No signal on next pull up. then sideways and finally the cherry. PO on. Bit slow to start then it was running. I had to go out so lucky it reached TP. If I had been here I would have let it run more.

What could I have done different: Happy with this trade.

Batch 1

Trade 07

Aud/Usd M15

Saw it start to drop, not signal, waited to see if it would continue to drop past purple. The cherry, PO set. Immy I know I set the PO lower than the cherry. It has started to run before I got my PO on, nice small box.

End result was +2R

R result to date for this batch: +1R

DS score for batch: 07/05

Overall total R score: (all batches) +28.8R

My Feelings and Analysis at the time of entry and afterwards: - Patients waiting for this one to show a setup. If I had been here I would have let it run, this was a fantastic move. In this case I could have set the T Candle button. I get the feeling after yesterday and my computer shutting on me I was not taking a chance and grabbed the profit. Leaving lots on the table!

What could I have done different: Happy with this trade.

Batch 1

Trade 08

Aud/Jpy M15

Pink dot before I was awake, noticed new box this morning, open gator. placed PO. This was Wellington open, Aus open took me out with the large spike.

End result was -1R

R result to date for this batch: 0R

DS score for batch: 08/05

Overall total R score: (all batches) +27.8R

My Feelings and Analysis at the time of entry and afterwards: - Was happy with the trade when I entered, it went against me at next open. My SL was high already, it only just took me out with the spike. Otherwise I would have been a BE.

What could I have done different: I took the entry after the new box, and there was a dark bar at wave. The entry was valid I think.
