Re: Mickey's Journal
Thanks Immy. I have gotten way more than my moneys worth out of Aims. I plan to learn from it as long as my brain is working! Will PM minor glitches as I don't want to clog up Mickey's Journal.
Want to leave plenty of room for more of his thoughts.

Re: Mickey's Journal
Hello Ed
Thank you for your kind words, but at age 81 you're still
a mere slip of a lad!
Its good to see some of the old prodigals return, Michael
in particular after a long absence. Michael was a major
inspiration to me, having witnessed his outstanding
and consistent profits, seeing it can actually be done.
Ray too, as you say was absolutely brilliant, despite
his tendency to veer off the AIMS straight and narrow
on occasion, a bit like myself )
I'm still trading successfully on both the Daily, and
unbelievably the M1 at London Open
and my greatest skill that I learned from AIMS was
the all important Exit strategy, and the one that
really resonated with me was simply trailing the
momentum bars, either M1 or M5
10 - 20 pips easily made at London Open
of course the biggest lesson being - knowing when
to sit on your hands
The forum has gone through a calmer period, but
probably similar across the board, everything
goes in cycles, and it will likely pick up
Stay positive!
Best Wishes
Mickey
PS don't worry about cluttering my journal, a
bit more clutter isn't going to hurt

Hello Mickey
Great to see a post in your forum. Hope you had a good holiday period. Interesting to read that you trade the M1 chart. I think I fully understand why you'd do that. I see it as a simple straight forward opportunity that often appears at the london open. Why not benefit from it.
do keep us posted please

What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.

Three very nice winning D1 trades capitalizing on the woes of Sterling,
break of AIMS, pullback and bounce off Green. There is very likely more
to come but looking left I'm banking my 426 pip gain and not getting greedy.
There is always another day.

On the audjpy above, I decided to move the SL up to trail the H1
Good call! if I had left the stop at BE I would have likely given everything
back. I came out with +150 pips and there wasn't much more available so I
just wish I could call it this accurately every time. Sadly no one can ))

Been a long time... D1 is my favourite time frame for currencies this year. There is so much time and allows stress free decision making.
keep posting... lovely ideas...
